TWO GREAT VIDEOS – SPENDING CUTS IN PERSPECTIVE AND THE FREE MARKET

Thanks to a young Republican, Brady Nemeth, for sharing these two educational links.

These are two great videos that just came out today. They’re both short and to the point (the first is just 1 minute, the second is roughly 5 minutes), and leave out any politics, which means that they are great for sharing with everyone – democrats, republicans, the apolitical, etc..

The first is a minute-long video putting the proposed $2 trillion in spending cuts over the next decade in to perspective. It should be a good way to fire people up to hold everyone’s feet to the fire in order to actually get back to fiscal sanity.

The second is a great look at the free market in general. It links the economic theory some people might read about with real-world evidence that’s easier for people to grasp/talk to others about. It’s based around asking people whether or not they would give up the internet permanently for $1 million. I’ve found that a lot of average people sometimes have a tough time defending the free market against people who say that it’s not fair (or some other emotional argument). Hopefully this will help people be better prepared to fend off those arguments.
