I met up with the Federalist’s Ben Weingarten in Minneapolis this past fall when he was in the process of finishing American Ingrate: Ilhan Omar and the Progressive Islamist Takeover of the Democratic Party. With a foreword by Andrew McCarthy, the book is published in paperback today by Bombardier Books; it is available on Amazon at the link.
Ben sent me and a few other students of Omar a copy of the book in galley last month. At my request, Ben forwarded the blurbs his early readers offered to recommend the book. With Ben’s permission, I am posting them below in lieu of a formal review of the book this morning:
Victor Davis Hanson: “Benjamin Weingarten professionally and thoroughly dissects the strange case of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and demonstrates that much about the congresswoman is an enigma at best and a fraud at worst. We do not know, and authorities are apparently not interested in, her strange marriage…her tax avoidance, her violations of campaign financing laws, and her apparent disgust with a country that she…sought out and presently finds profitable. Weingarten’s case study of Omar serves as a larger indictment of the therapeutic mindset, which Omar manipulated so well on her way to notoriety and power. Weingarten suggests that if Omar had not existed, she would have had to be invented, given that she is a metaphor for a larger American pathology of progressive virtue-signaling and, ultimately, self-loathing.” – Victor Davis Hanson, The Hoover Institution, Stanford University
Dennis Prager: “American Ingrate is a serious, deeply researched work that makes the compelling case Rep. Ilhan Omar is the new face of the Democratic Party, and delves deeply into her background and beliefs. It compellingly sets forth the argument that she not only personifies but leads a Progressive-Islamist alliance held together by the glue of hatred of America, of Judeo-Christian values, of Western civilization, and of Israel. Read it and weep. Or better, read it and fight back. This is a manual in that fight.” – Dennis Prager, nationally radio talk show host and columnist, co-founder of PragerU, and New York Times bestselling author of ten books, including, most recently, the first two volumes of The Rational Bible, a five-volume commentary on the Torah
Aceh’s all-female Sharia flogging squad is the perfect metaphor for Western feminists’ refusal to denounce Sharia oppression of women. When the time comes, maybe the Women’s March or Code Pink could select female floggers for Sharia police in the U.S.
“Indonesia’s Sharia police tout historic female flogging squad: ‘Her technique was nice,’” by Douglas Ernst, Washington Times, January 28, 2020:
Indonesia’s Sharia police have a unique take on diversity that might seem odd to Western ears: its historic all-female flogging squad.
Banda Aceh Sharia police chief investigator Zakwan, who uses one name, told Agence France-Presse this week that he was thrilled with a new recruit’s lashing performance.
“I think she did a good job. Her technique was nice,” he said for an interview published Tuesday.
The piece by Haeril Halim detailed justice being meted out against an unmarried woman who was found in a hotel room with a man.
“The masked woman nervously approaches her target, shuffles into position and then unleashes a flurry of lashes — proving herself as the newest member of the first female flogging squad in Indonesia’s Aceh province,” the piece reads. “But despite her reticence, she persevered and delivered her first flogging.”
AFP noted that the city of roughly 220,000 has three shifts of Sharia police patrolling throughout the day.
Other crimes that may result in beatings with a a rattan cane include the following: adultery, drinking alcohol, having gay sex, and gambling.
“We train them to make sure they’re physically fit and teach them how to do a proper whipping,” Zakwan told AFP. “It’s kind of an indoctrination that we give to them so they have a better understanding of their role — have no mercy for those who violate God’s law.”…
Many of you are familiar with a couple of congressional seats that were picked up by Muslim women and the first Muslim state attorney general put into office in Minnesota. What you may not realize is just how many political offices were filled by electing Muslims in 2018. Even more concerning is the high percentage of Muslims voting and their openness to promote the fact that they want to “change” our culture and society.
First, the information comes from JETPAC, which stands for Justice Education Technology Political Advocacy Center. According to their Mission Statement:
Jetpac (Justice Education Technology Political Advocacy Center) seeks to build a strong American Muslim political infrastructure and increase our community’s influence and engagement.
We will take our place at the table across all levels of government.
Our philosophy of change is rooted in a community-based approach, grassroots mobilization, civics training, and technology application. We have developed our own training curriculum, as well as proprietary social media technology and automation tools, to give our Fellows the skills and resources they need to win elections. (emphasis mine)
One wonders if some of those tools involve voter fraud, especially after what we witnessed in Minnesota.
Let’s break down the Muslim wins from federal to the local level, and then we’ll sort them by states.

Democrat candidates are falling all over each other to see who can offer more”free stuff”. The truly serious problem of Islam and Sharia Law subverting our country is not even mentioned. Nancy
Now that the Russian Hoax hoopla has finally died down, perhaps the media will take seriously the threat from the Grand Jihadic Strategy of the Muslim Brotherhood to infiltrate and eventually overcome America. Thanks to Mike Scruggs for sharing. Nancy
Mike Scruggs- The Muslim Brotherhood is the most powerful Muslim political organization in the world. Its motto is: “Allah is our objective; the Prophet is our leader; the Koran is our law; Jihad is our way; dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”
Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-BannaThe Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan in Arabic) was established in Egypt in 1928 by Hassan al-Banna, a devout Muslim school teacher, and six followers. Al-Banna, his followers, and many Muslims in Egypt believed that Islam had become shamefully secularized and marginalized during British Colonial Rule and that of the secular Muslim leaders that followed after Egypt’s independence in 1922. Moreover, British military and political influence continued.
The Brotherhood was established as a Muslim revivalist organization with the goal of bringing Egypt and eventually all other Muslim nations back to the pure Islam of the Koran and the teachings of Muhammad. As purists, they also advocated expanding Islam over the whole world by peaceful or violent means, whichever is required.
By analogy, it was a “reformation” to turn Islam back to the doctrines and practices of its founders.
By 1938, the Brotherhood had 200,000 members in Egypt. By the end of 1948 and the birth of Israel, the Ikhwan had 2,000,000 members in Egypt, about 10 percent of the total population including women and children.
The Muslim Brotherhood operates primarily within the Sunni branch of Islam, competing for world dominance with the numerically smaller Shia branch led by Iran. The Brotherhood’s modern operating philosophy is often called “Civilization Jihad” or stealth Jihad.
They typically work by deception, infiltration, and subversion until they are strong enough to take power and enforce their dominance by the sword. Hamas and Islamic Jihad were two of their first terrorist branches, but they also had a significant role in establishing al-Qaeda, which is essentially a spinoff of Hamas.
Similarly, ISIS is essentially a spinoff of Al-Qaeda. Oil money, especially from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, has been one of their most powerful resources for propagandizing, bribing, and corrupting political, civil, education, banking, and church leaders in the West.
Although the Muslim Brotherhood is a Sunni organization, they often cooperate with Shia Muslims and even the secular Left against common enemies. The Muslim Brotherhood also has immense influence in the 57-nation member Organization for Islamic Cooperation within the United Nations.
The Brotherhood’s strategic goals in the United States were uncovered by an FBI raid in August 2004 on the Annandale, Virginia, home of Ismail Elbarasse, suspected of fundraising for the Hamas terrorist group and planning to sabotage the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Maryland. Among the 80 boxes of Muslim Brotherhood archives was an “Explanatory Memorandum” of the Brotherhood’s game plan for bringing America down by infiltration and subversion from within.
When two people share the same goals, they can disagree – even strongly disagree – and still have a productive discussion about how to reach those shared objectives. As comedian and author Owen Benjamin explains, the problem with America today is we no longer share the same goals, and that’s tearing us apart.

Trevor Loudon speaks of the Far Left in our government and how they work with the Marxists and the Islamists. He names influential members of congress and those running for congressional seats in last weeks election. Absolutely frightening. Please share with your email lists. Nancy
