BERNIE SANDERS EXPOSED FOR BACKING THE IRANIAN HOSTAGE TAKERS IN 1979

Friday, January 24th, 2020

This is why the Democrats are trying to ruin Sander’s chances for  being their nominee.  All of this information on Sander’s past support for the Iranian hostage takers  will be brought out in the election by the Trump campaign and the Democrats will go down in flames.  Go Bernie !!!!    Nancy

When Iran Took Americans Hostage, Bernie Backed Iran’s Defenders

By Ronald Radosh   January 16, 2020
EXCERPT FROM THIS ARTICLE:  If Sanders were to become the Democratic presidential nominee, all this will come pouring out in Trump ads on television and social media. Voters  will see TV clips of the American hostages, blindfolded and abused, alongside Sanders as the Trotskyist elector supporting the Iranian kidnappers. Rest assured, Trump will make absolutely sure that it is Sanders’ own past that will bury him and perhaps the Democratic Party.

Bernie Sanders, a top competitor in the Democratic primaries, has attacked Joe Biden for bringing “just a lot of baggage” into the race. But if past views are a major consideration, consider the baggage that Sanders drags into the campaign.

Go back over 40 years, to the start of Iran’s long conflict with the United States. On April 1, 1979, the theocratic Islamic Republic of Iran was proclaimed. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who had returned to Iran from exile to assume command of the revolt, became Supreme Leader in December of that year. His rise was accelerated by the seizure on Nov. 4 of 52 American diplomats and citizens, and citizens of other countries, at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. The hostage crisis became the means by which the Ayatollah crushed political opponents in Iran. Dealing with the hostage taking became the overwhelming political crisis for President Jimmy Carter. It lasted 444 days.

Virtually all Americans—Democrats, Republicans and independents—united in support of the hostages and the international call for their freedom. One prominent political figure on the 2020 stage, then almost completely unknown, stood apart by joining a Marxist-Leninist party that not only pledged support for the Iranian theocracy, but also justified the hostage taking by insisting the hostages were all likely CIA agents. Who was that person? It was Bernie Sanders.

“AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP IS ERODING” – VICTOR DAVIS HANSON

“American citizenship is eroding”

November 2019  • • Victor Davis Hanson

The following is an abridged version of a talk delivered at Hillsdale College on October 2, 2019, during the College’s 175th anniversary gala. Videos of this and other speeches delivered during the gala are available at fourpillars.hillsdale.edu.

Today many condemn the idea of nationalism by connecting it to race hatred (e.g., white nationalism). But historically, the modern nation-state has proven uniquely suitable to preserving individual rights. The American nation in particular was successful in uniting individuals of different races, ethnic backgrounds, and creeds into one people based on shared principles, a unique physical space, and a common national story. Our nation is the best example in human history of positive nationalism.

The key to this benign nationalism is American citizenship, based on an understanding of American exceptionalism and formed by the American melting pot. But today, our citizenship is eroding and, along with it, American nationalism in the positive sense is disappearing.

American citizenship is eroding in three ways.

First, we are blurring the line between mere residents and citizens. We have between 45-50 million non-native-born residents in the U.S. today—the largest absolute number we’ve ever had. There’s no legal problem with the 30 million of them who have green cards or have acquired citizenship—although even 30 million is a challenge for the American melting pot to assimilate and integrate.

But we also have, according to a recent Yale and MIT study, about 20 million people who are here illegally. In regard to them, the classical ingredients of American citizenship—the right to leave or enter the country as one pleases, for example, or to vote in elections, or to reside here as long as one pleases—are being blurred.

The Islamic Trojan Horse

Many in the West today are grappling as to how Islam has been able to get a foothold in our society.  We know of Islamists’ present-day means to get government officials to capitulate to their whims through lobbying and the mainstream media, presenting themselves as victims of the same Western society that has helped them.  But how have they been able to acquire such political leverage?  Apparently, there has been a willful lack of circumspection or foresightedness.  Back in the 1970s, the late archbishop Marcel Lefebvre had said:

“As long as Muslims are an insignificant minority in a Christian country, they can live on friendly terms, because they accept the laws and customs of the country that receives them.  But as soon as they become numerous and organize, they become aggressive and try to impose their laws, which are hostile to [Western] civilization.”

Protagonists such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar — both supposed allies of the United States and the European Union — have been able to forge or manipulate situations having politicians and the mainstream media to direct attention to military conflicts in the Middle East, such as Syria and Afghanistan, or by “exclusively” focusing on the Iranian regime as the principle source of terrorism.  As Ayaan Hirsi Ali explained, because of the West’s obsession with terror, we have become blind to the broader threat of the dawa, (Islamic proselytizing): the ideology behind the terror attacks — and what drives numerous Muslims to Islamize us.  In other words, by leading us to believe that the threat of Islam is only in far-off distant lands, Islamists have been able to conceal their ultimate weapons of Islamization: exploitation of  democracy and pluralism, immigration, and the multiplication of the progeny.

Since its foundation, islam has always been transnational as it spread across the world when the nation-state and national identity were at best inchoate and more often nonexistent.  This has impelled many Muslims, regardless of their views of democracy, to utilize the democratic instruments of pluralism and freedom of expression to insert themselves into society with the goal of propagating Islam at the expense of others.  The most salient example has been the election of Ilhan Omar to the House of Representatives.  Notwithstanding marrying her own brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, to get him a green card to the U.S., even before being sworn into Congress on a Quran, she successfully demanded that Congress reverse a 181-year ban on the wearing of any headgear — in her case she was able to wear the hijab: a religious attire, when lawmakers cannot even display a cross — on the floor of Congress.

Like a Trojan horse, Islamists have been able to  infiltrate, for example, the Western field of education, creating an environment of receptivity and understanding for the next generation of Americans to accept their sharia-based lifestyle.  Saudi money has financed institutions alongside multitudes of other Islamic organizations across the world and within the United States (80 percent of 1,200 mosques operating in the United States were built after 2003).  Qatar’s equal vision for America is being peddled through our children’s classrooms, targeting a pliable population and one with a long shelf life.

This has reciprocally occurred with the assistance of terror-linked NGOs, such as the Council for American-Islamic Relations and the Islamic Society of North America, which have bought off Washington influencers and think tanks and having them capitulate to Islamic “needs” in our society.

A SHORT VETERANS DAY FICTIONAL STORY

Sunday, November 10th, 2019

In honor of Veterans Day, I am sending out a fictional short story that was written by Edward Reed especially for Veterans Day.  To read more of Edward Reed’s writings, the link below will take you to his website.  Several of my favorite short stories of his is Old Dogs  and Valley of the Shadow.  Badge, one of his published books, is also a favorite.  Edward Reed writes of  a time of family love, hardship,  patriotism and the once common appreciation of the simple things of life.   Nancy

The Rest of the Story

The Rest of the Story

For over fifty years Luther Hobbs, Wilmer’s Hobbs’ younger brother, has flown a flag every Veterans Day. It was something his father did until he no longer could, then Luther took over. It was a way to honor Wilmer,  a way to remember.

Luther will be the first to admit that his memory isn’t as good as it used to be

“Time is catching up to me,” is something he says more and more these days while watching  the evening sun drift behind tall trees he used to climb as a boy. That was until Wilmer was killed. After Wilmer was killed climbing trees was no longer fun.

Wilmer had taught him how to climb trees,  and so many other things, things he would never forget things like;  how to throw a curve ball, how to bait a fishing hook, ride a bicycle, how to not be afraid of the dark, and the Lord’s Prayer.

Wilmer taught him how to tie his shoes too. Luther still remembers that afternoon, and how long it took and how patient Wilmer was as they sat on the porch steps until he finally caught on. He remembers it every morning when he ties his shoe laces.

Sometimes he hears Wilmer’s voice whispering to him and sometimes calling out from across the fields, and sometimes when he walks along the stream. It was by the stream where Wilmer first told him he was going away to fight in the war. It was where Wilmer let him listen to his grandfather’s watch that last time.

Luther thinks about that watch now and then. He still remembers its ticks and tocks. The old watch wasn’t among Wilmer’s things that the Army sent home after he was killed.

Luther still kept those things, a few medals, and ribbons, Wilmer’s dog tag, and two stripes that he never got around to sewing onto his uniform. He keeps them in a box, the same box that he keeps the flag that once draped his brother’s coffin. Its the flag he takes out every Veteran’s day and hoists high, unfurling it in the crisp November breeze just as the sun peaks over the mountain top.

This Veteran’s Day, like Luther’s memories, there is not as much left of his brother’s flag  to dance in the morning breeze.

Two weeks ago Luther’s grandchildren  dug the old flag out burned it. When he was awakened by smoke he thought his whole world was on fire. In a way it was and still is as he continues nursing burns from reaching in the hot blazing flames.

He did it without thinking.

“A silly thing,” the doctor at the emergency room told him.

Luther listened.

“It’s just an old flag,” the doctor said more than once. It was the same thing celebrities say, and what his grandchildren said while they watched him rescue the old flag they set out to destroy.

“Because being an American isn’t cool.”

By some miracle all of the red, white, and blue wasn’t burned and enough stars and stripes survived for Luther Hobbs to fly his brother’s flag this Veteran’s Day and remember.

I pray this is a work of fiction I pray, but fear it’s not. Edward Reed 2019

A SOFT CIVIL WAR

Friday, November 8th, 2019

THE CONSERVATIVE PUNDIT
Will the Defeat of Trump in 2020 Lead to a Civil War ?

Steve Baldwin is a 35-year veteran of the conservative movement. He is the author of From Crayons to Condoms, the former executive director of Young Americans for Freedom, the former executive director of the Council for National Policy and a former California state legislator.

March 27, 2019    by Steve  Baldwin

You don’t have to like Donald Trump to support him in 2020.  Nor is it necessary for you to agree with everything he says or tweets.  You may even dislike his style, his language and his sometimes abrasive behavior.  But it is imperative for all voters to understand the choice we will have in two years and what the ramifications are if Trump loses the election. If you are a conservative thinking about not voting for Trump due to these petty reasons, well, grow up.  We are now at a tipping point in American history in which the defeat of Trump will most likely launch a series of unconstitutional actions and decisions by the left which could very well lead to the destruction of America as we know it.

There are lots of discussions and chit-chat about a coming civil war on both leftist and conservative blogs, websites, news sites, etc., but is that really a possible scenario in our future?  Let’s face it, we are already in the midst of a form a civil war today, both politically and culturally.  Indeed, America has not been this divided since the Civil War of 1861-1865.  But could this “soft” civil war evolve into more of an actual violent civil war?  Afterall, it is clear to conservatives that many of America’s major institutions are under assault by a fanatical leftist movement that seeks to wipe out our Western and largely Christian heritage and replace it with an atheist, socialist utopia where supposed “equality” will be forced upon everyone and government will be the provider of all goods and services.

We’ve seen this movie before many times – the USSR, China, Cuba, Venezuela, most of Africa, etc. Indeed, these countries were and are nightmare regimes that destroyed individual rights, religious freedom, the free enterprise system and free will. There’s no doubt that once socialism takes root, the accumulation of governmental power eventually leads to an Orwellian police state that controls all aspects of one’s life.  Yes, there have been a few socialist countries the left points to that have not evolved into police states –the Scandinavian countries — but over the last decade those countries dropped their experiment with socialism and have since become, by some accounts, more free market-oriented than the USA.  They were fortunate enough to dump socialism before it evolved into a police state.

The reality is that almost all socialist countries evolve into various forms of authoritarianism; just ask anyone who lived in Eastern Europe during the Cold War.  But the socialist revolution here in America is already well under way. If one looks at many of our K-12 schools, our universities, the media and even many of our churches, they have been corrupted by the left and have become propaganda organs advocating socialist causes at the expense of their original missions.   There is little doubt the push to socialism is escalating here in the USA.

It is a shame so many millenillials are unaware of the tyranny that socialism leads to. And that’s what the left is counting on.   Very few millenillials read anything other than phone texts or social media posts and even fewer have ever read any of the great anti-socialist books such as Animal Farm and 1984 by George Orwell, Witness by Whittaker Chambers, Darkness at Noon and The God that Failed by Arthur Koestler and the Gulag Archipelagoby Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.  One would think such books would be routinely assigned in our schools since, after all, it was only 29 years ago the USSR was the most serious threat to our freedom our country had ever experienced. Moreover, communism/socialism still exists today in China, North Korea and a few other places.

FIRST COMMON CORE HIGH SCHOOL GRADS WORST-PREPARED FOR COLLEGE IN 15 YEARS

Tuesday, November 5th, 2019
THE FEDERALIST

First Common Core High School Grads Worst-Prepared For College In 15 Years

This is the opposite of what we were told would happen with trillions of taxpayer dollars and an entire generation of children who deserve not to have been guinea pigs in a failed national experiment.
Joy Pullmann

By

For the third time in a row since Common Core was fully phased in nationwide, U.S. student test scores on the nation’s broadest and most respected test have dropped, a reversal of an upward trend between 1990 and 2015. Further, the class of 2019, the first to experience all four high school years under Common Core, is the worst-prepared for college in 15 years, according to a new report.

The National Assessment of Educational Progress is a federally mandated test given every other year in reading and mathematics to students in grades four and eight. (Periodically it also tests other subjects and grade levels.) In the latest results, released Wednesday, American students slid yet again on nearly every measure

Reading was the worst hit, with both fourth and eighth graders losing ground compared to the last year tested, 2017. Eighth graders also slid in math, although fourth graders improved by one point in math overall. Thanks to Neal McCluskey at the Cato Institute, here’s a graph showing the score changes since NAEP was instituted in the 1990s.

“Students in the U.S. made significant progress in math and reading achievement on NAEP from 1990 until 2015, when the first major dip in achievement scores occurred,” reported U.S. News and World Report. Perhaps not coincidentally, 2015 is the year states were required by the Obama administration to have fully phased in Common Core.

Common Core is a set of national instruction and testing mandates implemented starting in 2010 without approval from nearly any legislative body and over waves of bipartisan citizen protests. President Obama, his Education Secretary Arne Duncan, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Bill Gates, and myriad other self-described education reformers promised Common Core would do exactly the opposite of what has happened: improve U.S. student achievement. As Common Core was moving into schools, 69 percent of school principals said they also thought it would improve student achievement. All of these “experts” were wrong, wrong, wrong.

BOOK REVIEW: ERASING AMERICA: LOSING OUR FUTURE BY DESTROYING OUR PAST

BOOK REVIEW

Erasing America: Losing Our Future by Destroying Our Past

 4.41  ·   Rating details ·  44 ratings  ·  10 reviews

“A brilliant book based on a brilliant and true concept.” – TUCKER CARLSON

Remember America? There may come a time when no one will.

There will be no monuments to American heroes, no stories that will praise them. The United States will have become a dark chapter in human history, best forgotten.

In Erasing America: Destroying Our Future by Erasing Our Past (releasing August 21st), James Robbins reveals that the radical Left controls education, the media, and the Democratic party…. and they seek to demean, demolish, and relentlessly attack America’s past in order to control America’s present.

This toxic movement has already brainwashed an entire generation and is rapidly changing the cultural, historical, and spiritual bonds of our nation.  American exceptionalism, history, and patriotism are a magnificent legacy, Robbins warns, but to pass it on to our children, we must view the past with understanding, the present with gratitude, and the future with hope.

Wondering if it’s really that bad? Here are some facts you’ll learn in Erasing America:

At Yale, residential Calhoun College is being renamed after students complained about the pro-slavery sentiments of John C. Calhoun. In Massachusetts, Simmons College claims saying, “God bless you” is an “Islamophobic microaggression.”  In Virginia, school districts seek to ban To Kill a Mockingbird and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn because parents complained about the racial slurs in the books. Across the country, Christmas songs and movies are labelled as racist and sexist – and banned. In California, a San Francisco school district wants to rename George Washington High School because our first president owned slaves. In Arkansas, a monument engraved with the Ten Commandments was smashed to smithereens by a protester in a Dodge Dart. And in parks and squares across the South, statues of confederate generals and soldiers are disappearing.

Robbins wants you to understand the critical situation in America, and to use Erasing America to equip your fellow Americans against this Leftist propaganda – before it’s too late!

James S. Robbins is a senior fellow for National Security Affairs at the American Foreign Policy Council and a member of the advisory board to the National Civil War Museum. Formerly, he was an award-winning editorial writer at the Washington Times, professor at the National Defense University, and special assistant in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. He holds a Ph.D. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. His books include This Time We Win: Revisiting the Tet Offensive (2010) and Last in Their Class: Custer, Pickett and the Goats of West Point (2006).

VIDEO     GOODBYE AMERICA – PRAGER U

How is America to be defined? By its failures or its triumphs? Today, there seems to be an obsession with the former and a dismissal of the latter. Is this dark vision of the freest and most prosperous nation on earth an accurate narrative or a cynical distortion? James Robbins, columnist for USA Today and author of “Erasing America,” considers that question in this video. How we view America’s past will very much shape America’s future.

SUPREME COURT DECLINES TO HEAR CASE PROMOTING ISLAM IN PUBLIC SCHOOL

CLARION PROJECT

Supreme Court Declines to Hear Case Promoting Islam in

Public School

October 17, 2019

The U.S. Supreme Court declined to review the case of a Christian high school student in Maryland who, despite threats of receiving a failing grade, refused to deny her faith by making a written profession of the Muslim conversion prayer known as the shahada.

The shahada states“There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”

Caleigh Wood, an eleventh-grader in La Plata High School, a public school in La Plata, Maryland, was represented in the case by the Thomas Moore Law Center, nonprofit public interest law firm know for defending First Amendment rights – particularly those that violate the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution.

As part of the school’s “World History” curriculum, the La Plata High School high school students were taught extensively about Islam and required to list the benefits of the religion.

Wood and other students were forced to view a series of pro-Islamic PowerPoint slides, including one that stated, “Most Muslims’ faith is stronger than the average Christian.”

The curriculum also taught:

  • “Islam at heart is a peaceful religion.”
  • Jihad is a “personal struggle in devotion to Islam, especially involving spiritual discipline.”
  • “To Muslims, Allah is the same God that is worshiped in Christianity and Judaism.”
  • “Men are the managers of the affairs of women.”
  • “Righteous women are therefore obedient.”

TRUMP STANDS BETWEEN AMERICA AND TYRANNY

Trump Stands between America and Tyranny

The movie Titanic had one really good scene.  The ship had already swiped the iceberg.  The behemoth continued sailing along and appeared to be doing just fine.  But one person on the ship, Thomas Andrews, knew that it was doomed.  Andrews was a naval architect who was in charge of the plans to build the ship.

After he tells the captain and some other key people on the ship that it is going to sink, they react in disbelief.  One declares that the ship can’t possibly sink.

Andrews responds, “She’s made of iron, sir!  I assure you she can.  And she will.  It is a mathematical certainty.”

It’s one of cinema’s great scenes as men wrestle with approaching doom, made all the stronger by Victor Garber’s superb performance.  It’s also the perfect metaphor for our current moment in history.

People pay too little attention to math because numbers lie far less effectively than words.  There comes a point when a nation has raced over the cliff, but it may take years before that reality becomes obvious to everyone.

This movie scene was on my mind heading into election night in 2016.  All indications were that Hillary Clinton was going to be elected.  Based upon the math, America as a nation appeared doomed.  Clinton was eyeing the White House like a ravenous wolf and relishing the opportunity to cast misery across America.

But Wisconsin and then Michigan and finally Pennsylvania vomited on her pantsuit.  On election night, I had no idea what we had just elected, but the fact that it wasn’t Clinton was more than enough for one night.

Three years later, President Trump has shattered conservative expectations and may go down in history as one of the greatest U.S. presidents.  It brings to mind another historical surprise.  Winston Churchill was elevated to leadership during England’s darkest days against all odds.  He was under withering attack by both the opposing party and his own in those early months, and his survival as leader was very much in doubt.

Trump was also elevated under extraordinary circumstances that many would regard as a historical anomaly.  As a New York real estate mogul and non-politician, he was declared unelectable by prominent and respected Republican pundits.  The media initially pushed his candidacy with glee, assuming he would be the easiest Republican for their paramour to knock off in the general election.  They were spectacularly wrong.
