The Federal Workforce Boom
Remember when Bill Clinton in 1996 declared that the era of big government was over? Well, it’s back and bigger than ever. While neither Kamala Harris nor Donald Trump is talking about the need to shrink Washington, Elon Musk to his credit is, and it sure needs shrinking.
The left is attacking Mr. Musk, who has volunteered to run a government efficiency commission if Mr. Trump wins. He’s floated the idea that he could cut federal spending by $2 trillion. That’s impossible without the entitlement reform that Mr. Trump opposes. But Mr. Musk’s reform ambition is much needed in government.
The nearby chart (won’t copy) shows the growth in the federal bureaucracy over time. After rising modestly in the first Trump years, federal employment spiked in 2020 owing to temporary workers hired as part of the decennial Census survey. The federal workforce declined in 2021 but remained above pre-pandemic levels, and it has exploded in the Biden era.
Since January 2021, the federal workforce has increased by about 120,800 employees. Washington has added as many workers in the last two years as during the prior 13. One reason is Veterans Affairs hospitals, which have staffed up to treat aging veterans. But employment has ballooned across nearly the entire government, as quarterly data from the Office of Personnel Management show.

This is a continuation of our coverage of the ongoing investigation of fraudulent voter registration forms submitted in Pennsylvania. For additional background see our previous article on this subject.
At least six Pennsylvania counties have uncovered fraudulent voter registration forms submitted by an entity known as the Field and Media Corps. That entity is linked to several very well-funded leftist dark money groups. The scale of what has been uncovered is breathtaking. No one knows how many other counties and jurisdictions may have been targeted.
Apparently, no one intends to find out either. One would expect that a massive election fraud case uncovered only days before the election in a critical background state would draw a vigorous response from law enforcement beyond the county level. One would be wrong. Neither Harrisburg nor Washington seem concerned. The implications are stunning.

America First Legal Sues All 15 Counties in Arizona for Failing to Take Action to Remove Illegal Aliens from Voter Rolls

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Legal (AFL) filed an amended lawsuit against all 15 counties in Arizona – Apache, Cochise, Coconino, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Maricopa, Mohave, Navajo, Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz, Yavapai, and Yuma – for failing to take action to remove foreign citizens from their voter rolls.
On July 16, AFL sent letters on behalf of its clients demanding that election officials in all 15 Arizona counties fulfill their legal obligations to prevent aliens from voting and warning them that if they failed to do so, AFL would pursue legal action on behalf of its clients.
On August 5, 2024, AFL sued the Maricopa County Recorder on behalf of Strong Communities Foundation of Arizona, known as EZAZ.org, and Yvonne Cahill, a registered voter and naturalized citizen, for brazenly refusing to comply with the law. The claims in the lawsuit were based on Arizona state laws that require county recorders to do monthly voter list maintenance to remove foreign citizens from voter rolls. Nevertheless, Maricopa County removed the case to federal court, arguing that the case also involved federal laws that, in the county’s view, should be interpreted in federal court. Maricopa County is notorious for employing procedural maneuvers to delay election cases and keep them from being heard on the merits. However, Maricopa County’s attempts here have backfired. Arizona state court rules only allow for one county to be sued in a case like this, whereas federal court rules allow a plaintiff to sue more than one county at a time.
Now that AFL’s clients are in federal court, AFL added the other 14 counties in Arizona to the lawsuit to ensure that every county in the state is compelled to fulfill its statutory duties.

Can They Really Reinvent Kamala Harris in 70 Days?
Harris is not so much a flip-flopper as a padder, who supports anything, without any worry about framing each new position by renouncing her original and opposite one.

An Opportunistic Mediocrity
In theory, it should be hard for Kamala Harris to win the presidency of the United States.
Under pressure, Harris just completed her first “live interview”—a disastrous performance that was mysteriously taped, edited, and emotionally supported by her co-interviewed running mate. During the interview, she claimed that her values remain the same even though her manifestations of them have admittedly changed. Translated, that means for the next 70 days, she will advocate for popular policies antithetical to her own values, which will inevitably resurface after the election once the current façade fades away.
She is a Berkelyite who, as attorney general of California, had a proud far-left tenure. The lifelong large corpus of Harris’s left-wing enthusiasm and causes are only now being unearthed. But they are singular in that her riffs of embracing wokism, being a radical, erasing ICE, doing away with private health insurance, or being the last person in the room when Joe Biden made his disastrous decisions were all given to sympathetic media or pandered to crowds.
As a result, she often doubled down. Her emphatic statements were intended to stun audiences. Unlike other leftists, she really was a proud woke, radical and wanted everyone else to be one as well—broadcasting her leftism as openly as she is now cloaking it.
In one respected survey, Harris’s voting record was rated as the most left-leaning in the United States Senate. If she voted to the left of the admitted hardcore socialist Bernie Sanders, what exactly does that make her?
Otherwise, Harris was undistinguished, and often overtly so, as she was exposed as inane in Senate hearings. Her envisioned 2019-2020 primary bid proved an utter disaster. When liberal Democrat voters nationwide were first made aware of her radical record, her left-wing agendas, and her weird wash/rinse/spin word-salad chats, they ran.
