I’m a true-blue Democrat — but I’ve joined the GOP and back Donald Trump
“True-blue” California Democrat Gloria Romero, who backed Barack Obama in 2007, is now voting for Donald Trump. ASSOCIATED PRESSI walked away from the Democratic Party and joined the Republicans.
I will vote for Donald Trump for president.
I’ve been a true-blue Democrat, a former California state senator who chaired its Senate Democratic Caucus and served as Senate Majority Leader.
I was a Democratic National Convention delegate for Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama, and state co-chair for President Obama’s re-election.
But I’ve said goodbye, adios, I’ve had enough.
This is not the Democratic Party I once championed. I don’t recognize it anymore.
The so-called “party of democracy” eradicated 14 million votes, including mine, to install Vice President Kamala Harris as its nominee.
Like a banana republic, the dedazo was used by political elites to tap the candidate they chose. Essentially, they executed a political coup.
As California’s attorney general, Harris was unimpressive.
She made an intentional choice to hitch herself to the powerful teachers’ union and was clearly being coddled by a power elite that was even then shaping her political future.
Her manipulated rise is in line with the Democratic Party’s giant leap toward authoritarianism and censorship.
President Ronald Reagan warned that if fascism comes to America it will come as liberalism, and he was right: I have witnessed individual freedoms being trapped, silenced, censored.

The 10 Harris Lies Moderators Let Slide at the ABC Debate

Presidential debates have often been compared to professional wrestling matches, but the ABC News debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris more closely resembled a handicap match, with Trump taking on three opponents at once: Harris and both moderators.
As “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir and ABC News Live “Prime” anchor Linsey Davis regularly fact-checked Trump in real time, they allowed Harris to get by with numerous evasions and false statements on such issues as late-term abortions, post-birth executions, government pregnancy monitors, the economy, and haggard canards about “very fine people” at Charlottesville.
Here are a few of Harris’ misstatements that the ABC News moderators let her get away with.

1. Late-Term Abortion Is a Myth?
Harris attempted to deny Trump’s charge that the Democratic Party supports late-term abortion by denying such abortions take place. “Nowhere in America is a woman carrying a pregnancy to term and asking for an abortion,” Harris dodged.
In reality, 21 states allow abortion until birth: Six states have no legal limit protecting unborn children, and the rest allow abortion after the point of viability thanks to a vague and expansive “health of the mother” exception.
Late-term abortions are well-documented. In 2022, pro-life advocates found the remains of five babies whom abortionist Cesare Santangelo aborted late in their term or possibly after birth at the Washington Surgi-Clinic in Washington, D.C. The Biden-Harris Justice Department advised the District of Columbia to destroy the evidence.
“In 2013, New Mexico abortionist Shelley Sella faced medical board sanctions after she committed an abortion on a child at 35 weeks,” reports Carole Novielli of Live Action. “In 2003, abortionist Charles Rossmann gave abortion pills to a woman who was past 30 weeks.” Southwestern Women’s Options in Albuquerque’s website advertised that “abortion services are available through 32 weeks. Exceptions after 32 weeks are provided on a case-by-case basis.”
A 1981 Philadelphia Inquirer article documented that, in abortion facilities, “unintended live births are literally an everyday occurrence,” but they are “hushed up” instead of treated as “a problem to be solved.”
More than 56,000 abortions took place after 21 weeks, according to the most recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report.

Trump spars with Harris, moderators during heated presidential debate: ‘She doesn’t have a plan’
Harris and Trump faced off in their first and potentially only debate ahead of Election Day 2024, which is eight weeks away
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris faced off in a heated debate Tuesday night, sparring about abortion, immigration, Israel, the economy and a range of other issues—but Trump also battled the ABC News moderators, who were quick to challenge and “fact check” the 45th president, while leaving Harris’ numerous distortions untouched.
Trump and Harris engaged in their first, and possibly only debate of the 2024 general election cycle at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pa. Tuesday night—a highly-anticipated ninety-minute showdown as they traded jabs, and repeatedly, accused each other of lying.
The two met for the first time Tuesday night on the debate stage, with the vice president introducing herself as “Kamala Harris” to the former president as they shook hands–before making it a top priority to attempt to get under his skin and bait him throughout the debate.
The debate got underway with questions from ABC News’ David Muir and Linsey Davis, who challenged Trump throughout the debate.
Shortly after it concluded, Trump told Fox News Digital that he thought it was his “best debate ever, especially because it was three on one.”
Moderators began with the economy—first questioning the vice president on whether Americans “are better off than they were four years ago?”
Harris did not directly respond to the question. The Biden-Harris administration has seen rising inflation.
Instead, Harris incorrectly claimed Trump wanted to introduce a “sales tax” on everyday goods, but Trump dismissed that claim as an “incorrect statement.”
Moderators chimed in, suggesting Trump’s plan to impose tariffs on other countries would pass on higher costs to consumers.
But Trump countered, pointing to the high inflation of the Biden-Harris administration, calling it the “worst in our nation’s history,” while touting the record-economy under his administration.
Trump went on to hit Harris on her lack of clear policies, saying her past record and “everything that she believed three years ago and four years ago is out the window.”
“She’s going to my philosophy now,” he said. “In fact, I was going to send her a MAGA hat.”

New York Crisis Pregnancy Centers Pick Up Legal Victory Against Letitia James

EXCERPT FROM THIS ARTICLE: Pregnancy centers around the country have come under fire from Democratic lawmakers and pro-abortion activists after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. According to CatholicVote, there have been at least 93 attacks on pregnancy centers and pro-life groups since a copy of the decision to overturn Roe leaked.
A federal judge ruled Thursday that several New York crisis pregnancy centers could continue to speak freely about the abortion pill reversal protocol as state Attorney General Letitia James cracks down on pregnancy centers in the state.
U.S. District Judge John Sinatra granted a preliminary injunction to the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, Gianna’s House, and the Options Care Center against James, who has sued pro-life pregnancy centers across the state over their promotion of the abortion pill reversal protocol.
The protocol is a method backed by pro-life organizations where a woman can take a prescribed dose of bioidentical progesterone to potentially reverse the effects of mifepristone and save an unborn child if she changes her mind at the last minute about going through with the abortion.
“The First Amendment protects Plaintiffs’ right to speak freely about [abortion pill reversal] protocol and, more specifically, to say that it is safe and effective for a pregnant woman to use in consultation with her doctor,” Sinatra wrote in his ruling. “Indeed, the ‘very purpose of the First Amendment is to foreclose public authority from assuming a guardianship of the public mind through regulating the press, speech, and religion.’”
The pro-life groups, represented by Alliance Defending Freedom, announced a lawsuit against James in May after she launched lawsuits against 11 pregnancy centers accusing them of false advertising.

The Harris Flop Would Be Scarier Than Her Flip

President Joe Biden won in 2020 on the premise that until the November election, he would pose as good ol’ Joe from Scranton and not scare voters.
So Biden talked about “unity” and “competency.” He erased his prior wild primary pandering to left-wing voters about shutting down fracking and opening the border.
But as soon as he was elected in 2020, Biden became the leftist veneer for a hyper-radical Obama third term.
Fooled and naive voters were shocked that their supposedly moderate candidate turned into a veritable neo-socialist president.
In general, the left acknowledges that its spread-the-wealth, high taxes, big government, open borders, soft on crime, and woke DEI agendas don’t appeal to 51 percent of the people.
That reality requires disinformation for leftist policies to be implemented.
No one voted for the Biden-Harris ticket to borrow trillions sparking hyperinflation, to wage war on fossil fuels, to go woke, to welcome in 10 million illegal aliens, to abandon $50 billion in weapons to the terrorist Taliban, and to find America facing existential wars in Ukraine and the Middle East and soon perhaps over Taiwan.
But getting leftists elected requires fooling the American people into thinking their “moderate” campaign veneers will continue into their presidencies — even though they never do.
So, for now, Harris and her new vice presidential candidate, Tim Walz, will smother all their cherished left-wing positions — at least until November.
The two left-wing chameleons will assume the temporary identities and policies of “moderates.” That is a de facto admission that they know that the public does not want any of their true agendas.
The temporary metamorphosis means that the leftist nominees superficially feign agreement with what most Americans support –energy independence, low taxes, limited government, strong defense, deterrent foreign policy, secure borders, legal-only immigration, and assimilation rather than woke/DEI tribalism.
Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the most brazen and extreme examples of left-wing flip-floppers in memory.
