What Islamists and ‘Wokeists’ Have in Common

Adherents of both pursue ideological purity, refuse to engage in debate and demand submission

by Ayaan Hirsi AliMs. Hirsi Ali is a research fellow at the Hoover Institution and founder of the AHA Foundation. She served as a member of the Dutch Parliament from 2003-2006.

  September 11, 2020

excerpt from this article: Both ideologies aim to tear down the existing system and replace it with utopias that always turn out to be hellish anarchies: Islamic State in Raqqa, the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone in Seattle. Both are collectivist: Group identity trumps the individual. Both tolerate—and often glorify—violence carried out by zealots.

This Sept. 11, then, let’s dismiss the fairy stories about the enemies of a free society. Their grievances aren’t merely economic and they won’t be satisfied with jobs or entitlements. Their motivations are ideological and they will be satisfied only with power.

I cling to the hope that most Americans are still willing as a nation to fight and, if necessary, to die to preserve our freedoms, our rights, our customs, our history. That was the spirit of Flight 93. It was the spirit that ultimately defeated al Qaeda and Islamic State. But it is not the spirit of today’s “woke” protesters. And it is time that we all woke up to that reality.

There were many American heroes on 9/11, but the greatest were the passengers and crew of Flight 93. Not only did they avert what al Qaeda planned—a direct hit on the White House—but they also embodied Patrick Henry’s credo “Give me liberty, or give me death!”

Do those words still have a meaning in the America of 2020? For two decades, I have opposed the fanatical illiberalism of those strands of Islam that gave rise to al Qaeda. I broke with my Somali family and ultimately with their faith because I believed that it is human freedom that should be sacrosanct, not antiquated doctrines that demand submission by the individual.

So implacable are the proponents of Shariah that I have faced repeated death threats. Yet I have always consoled myself that, in the U.S., freedom of conscience and expression rank above any set of religious beliefs. It was partly for this reason that I moved here and became a citizen in 2013.

It never occurred to me that free speech would come under threat in my newly adopted country. Even when I first encountered what has come to be known as “cancel culture”—in 2014 I was invited to receive an honorary degree at Brandeis University and then ungraciously disinvited—I didn’t fret too much. I was inclined to dismiss the alliance of campus leftists and Islamists as a lunatic fringe.

But the power of the illiberal elements in the American left has grown, not just on campus but in the media and many corporations. They have inculcated in a generation of students an ideology that has much more in common with the intolerant doctrines of a religious cult than with the secular political thought I studied at Holland’s Leiden University.

VIDEO – PROTESTERS DESCEND ON OUTDOOR DINERS IN PITTSBURGH

Tuesday, September 8th, 2020
In my humble opinion all these protests and arrogant and unlawful violent  behavior are going to have an opposite affect from what these  BLM  and Antifa protesters want.  Seems to me there will be an increased number of people voting for the rule of law and that is what Republicans and President Trump represent.        CLICK ON THE LINK AND THEN “READ MORE TAB’  TO VIEW THE APPALLING VIDEO WHICH IS IN THE ARTICLE

Watch: Protesters in Pittsburgh descend on elderly diners, drink their beer, scream obscenities: ‘F*** the white people’

Dining outdoors can be hazardous

Black Lives Matter demonstrators converged on elderly diners Saturday in Pittsburgh, drinking their beverages, shouting obscenities, and smashing glasses in their rage.

The ongoing protests in some cities against police brutality and in support of the Black Lives Matter movement have clocked in at more than 100 days.

What are the details?

According to the Daily Mail, a parade of demonstrators charged down Pittsburgh’s streets on Saturday, screaming “F*** the white people” and more at outdoor diners.

A video highlighted by the outlet shows a crowd swarming a restaurant’s outdoor dining space, which was rife with people eating and dining.

The protesters begin to swear, shouting “F*** the white people that built the system” and more.

One demonstrator, with a bullhorn, also proceeded to tell those patrons dining outdoors that they were an “embarrassment.”

In the video, a woman wearing a “Nazi Lives Don’t Matter” T-shirt can be seen striding up to a group of elderly people. The unidentified woman then swipes the elderly woman’s beer from the table and swigs it down as demonstrators cheer.

AN ATTEMPT TO OVERTHROW AMERICA

Sunday, August 30th, 2020

The Attempt to Overthrow America

by Guy Millière

Dr. Guy Millière, a professor at the University of Paris, is the author of 27 books on France and Europe.
August 30, 2020

EXCERPT FROM THIS ARTICLE:

Attorney General William Barr recently said:

“I thought things were partisan and tough 30 years ago — nothing compared to today. Things have fundamentally changed… [the left] represents a revolutionary Rousseauian party that believes in tearing down the system… They’re interested in complete political victory. They’re not interested in compromise. They’re not interested in dialectic, exchange of views… It’s a substitute religion. They view their political opponents… as evil because we stand in the way of their progressive utopia that they’re trying to reach…”

  • The situation had become “worrying,” in fact, even before the results of the 2016 presidential election were known. As we now can read in the Department of Justice report by Michael Horowitz, the senior levels of government during the Obama Administration were colluding to prevent President Trump from winning the election, and then, after it, to frame him in an attempted coup d’état.
  • Mayors of many cities and other local officials have deliberately protected criminals over law-abiding citizens and allowed the destruction to take place.

The wave of riots that has followed the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25 appears to have nothing to do with Floyd’s death and everything to do with groups seeking to overthrow America. Mayors of many cities and other local officials have deliberately protected criminals over law-abiding citizens and allowed the destruction to take place. RADICAL ACTIVISTS OF THE DEMOCRAT PARTY

Sunday, August 30th, 2020

There are several videos in this article and if you click on the link to the article, you will be able to view the videos.  Even though this article was written in February of this year, it is very relevant in discussing the history of the radical activism of today’s  Democrat Party.    As conservatives, we have to  realize that these radical activists are completely dedicated to their ideology and they will not be defeated even if President Trump wins in November.  In fact, his win will probably enrage them even more.   This is going to be a long term struggle to keep our country free.     Nancy

2020 Elections: Democrat Party Activists

Posted at 12:30 pm on February 7, 2020

  by Stu Cvrk

Biography of the author of this article:

Stu Cvrk served 30 years in the US Navy in a variety of active and reserve capacities, with considerable operational experience in the Middle East and the Western Pacific. An oceanographer and systems analyst through education and experience, Stu is a graduate of the US Naval Academy where he received a classical liberal education which serves as the key foundation for his political commentary. He threads daily on Twitter on a wide range of political, military, foreign policy, government, economics, and world affairs topics.

All of the energy in the Democrat Party these days is contained within the radical base of activists who are entirely motivated to replace President Trump with a socialist Democrat (there is no other variety of national Democrat these days). We have seen direct evidence of their radicalism and hatred for Trump supported in particular thanks to the recent exposure of Bernie Sanders’ campaign workers by Project Veritas. Here is Part IV of the series of videos. These people are hardcore Communists

The dirty little secret is that these radicals aren’t just in Bernie’s campaign. They infest the campaign apparatuses of the other candidates, too. How did the Democrat Party evolve to its current leftwing ideological state, and where did all these radical activists come from? Let us explore that in detail.

The so-called “counterculture of the 1960s” bred a number of radical organizations that over time morphed, infiltrated and/or became aligned with the Democrat Party. The Cuban Revolution and subsequent Communist insurgencies and revolts throughout Latin America made heroes of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara to radical leftists in the United States, both of whom are glorified by the American Left to this very day. Che beanies and shirts are still the rage on college campuses and are worn by kids who have no clue about his bloody past. A whole host of trendy revolutionary-style groups sprang up in the US in the ‘60s that were focused on the civil rights movement, “revolutionary change,” and, later, anti-Vietnam War protests. You may remember some of the names:

    • Students for a Democratic Society (SDS)
    • The Weather Underground (Weathermen: Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, etc.)
    • Black Panther Party (Huey Newton, Bobby Seale, Eldridge Cleaver, etc.)
    • Black Liberation Army (1970s)
    • Yippies (Abbie Hoffman)
    • American Indian Movement (Dennis Banks, Russell Means, etc.)
    • And a number of smaller entities tied to Mao, Marx, Trotsky, and Lenin, as well as radical leftist political parties: Communist Party USA, Industrial Workers of the World, Workers World Party, Socialist Workers Party, etc.

VIDEO – AGENDA GRINDING AMERICA DOWN – FULL DOCUMENTARY MOVIE

Thursday, August 20th, 2020

I first saw this documentary film about 7 or so years ago and  was mesmerized because it stated quite clearly all the things I believed were  happening to our country.  Today,  it is even clearer that the Communists, Socialists and Progressives are a powerful force that are shaping events in our country.  In order to stop this destruction of our culture and our country, we first have to understand why and how it is being accomplished and this movie explains  it all  for us.     Please share this movie with your email lists.  Nancy  P.S.  Be sure not to miss the final 5  minutes of this film

NEW YORK CITY IS DEAD FOREVER

NEW YORK IS DEAD FOREVER

by James Altucher    August 17, 2020

Author, comedy club owner and former hedge-fund manager James Altucher self-publishedthis essayon Thursday, Aug. 13, under the title, “NYC is dead forever. Here’s why.” He granted the New York Post permission to reprint his piece in full below.

I love NYC. When I first moved to NYC it was a dream come true. Every corner was like a theater production happening right in front of me. So much personality, so many stories.

Every subculture I loved was in NYC. I could play chess all day and night. I could go to comedy clubs. I could start any type of business. I could meet people. I had family, friends, opportunities. No matter what happened to me, NYC was a net I could fall back on and bounce back up.

NYC residents ramp up mass exodus out of Big Apple

Now it’s completely dead. “But NYC always always bounces back.” No. Not this time. “But NYC is the center of the financial universe. Opportunities will flourish here again.” Not this time.

“NYC has experienced worse.” No, it hasn’t.

A Facebook group [Into The Unknown] formed a few weeks ago that was for people who were planning a move and wanted others to talk to and ask advice from. Within two or three days it had about 10,000 members.

Every day I see more and more posts: “I’ve been in NYC forever but I guess this time I have to say goodbye.” I’ve been screenshotting them for my scrapbook.

Times Square and Midtown Manhattan were deserted in March. Getty Images

Three of the most important reasons to move to NYC: business opportunities, culture and food. Commercial real estate and colleges are also suffering.

And, of course, friends. But if everything I say below is even 1/10 of what I think then there won’t be as many opportunities to make friends.

Business

Midtown Manhattan, the center of business in NYC, is empty. Even though people can go back to work, famous office buildings likethe Time Life skyscraperare still 90% empty. Businesses realized that they don’t need their employees at the office.

In fact, they realize they are even more productive without everyone back to the office. The Time Life building can handle 8,000 workers. Now it maybe has 500 workers back.

“What do you mean?” a friend of mine said to me when I told him, “Midtown should be called ‘Ghost Town’!”

“I’m in my office right now!”

“What are you doing there?” I asked.

“Packing up,” he said and laughed, “I’m shutting it down.” He works in the entertainment business.
