LIBERALS FEED OFF HYSTERIA WHICH THEY CREATE, ENLARGE AND PROMOTE

Can’t happen here? It’s happening

Can’t happen here? It’s happening
What happened to global warming?
Only weeks ago, they had us obsessing over global warming.
It was the crisis du jour. For Leftists, any crisis will do so long as
it gives them a cause; a sense of moral superiority, a touch of
righteous indignation that sets the rest of us up for scolding. Duck…the
sky is falling…and it is your fault. The teen angel from Sweden, Greta
Thunberg, says so, then it must be so.
The guilt trip imposed upon the rest of us, lasts so long as it is
politically and culturally convenient, and then it is on to another crisis.
Rule Number One: There must always be a crisis.
So then…and don’t ask me to operate in sequence… their crises do
overlap…so then, do you remember the hashtag MeToo Movement?
For a while, it was all the rage, and I do mean rage. Every woman was
Mother Teresa and every man was Harvey Weinstein.
Like climate change, that too has fallen below the fold, and barely
rates a mention even along the back pages.
Even CNN doesn’t bother with that anymore, and along Fox News, crisis
monger Juan Williams, and robot Leftists Marie Harf and Jessica Tarlov
forget to bring it up.
Realize this, that without a crisis, there are no Liberals. They have
nothing else. They feed off the hysteria, which they create, enlarge,
and promote.
They need crises to live, breathe, multiply.

HISTORY OF RACISM IN THE DEMOCRAT PARTY

Sunday, June 28th, 2020

Absolutely appalling  how successful the Democrat Party has been in covering up their racist past while accusing others of being racist.  We can’t let them get away with this any longer.  Please share with your email lists as the the main stream media will never expose the true history of the Democrat Party. It is up to us in  the conservative grassroots to expose their hypocrisy.       Nancy

Of course there is systemic racism in America and it’s in the Democratic Party

By Aubrey Shines    Bishop Aubrey Shines is chairman of the newly-formed Conservative Clergy of Color and founder of Glory to Glory Ministries
June 12, 2020

These past couple of weeks have been some of the saddest I’ve seen in my lifetime as an African-American. It began with the tragic, needless, death of George Floyd, but then quickly escalated into some of the most vicious, violent rioting our country has seen in decades.

The Democratic Party, true to form, never lets a crisis go to waste. It has seized on what should be a time of healing and instead made the conversation more divisive by lecturing us all about how systemic racism is supposedly rampant in the United States. The great irony here is that yes, there’s plenty of systemic racism in our country; it’s all wrapped up in the history of the Democratic Party.

The rot goes deep, back to the post-Civil War era. Former slaves and their children were forced for decades to endure the cruel, wretched Jim Crow laws that kept them from advancing in the South. And who was all too happy to keep those laws in place? The Democrats.

The Republican Party had planks in its party platforms addressing the rights of African-Americans in the early 20th century. The Democrats, meanwhile, used the KKK as their stormtroopers, lynching and terrorizing blacks in the South beginning just after the Civil War and continued this practice for a century.

As early as 1888, the Republican platform included a plank affirming the “sovereign right of every lawful citizen, rich or poor, native or foreign born, white or black, to cast one free ballot in public elections, and to have that ballot duly counted.”

In 1892, the Republican platform specifically condemned the “inhuman outrages perpetrated upon American citizens for political reasons in certain Southern States of the Union.” The Democrats, those paragons of virtue, refused to include anti-lynching planks or planks addressing racial rights in their platform for all of the early 20th century.

BLACK LIVES MATTER CO-FOUNDER DESCRIBES HERSELF AS ‘TRAINED MARXIST’

Saturday, June 27th, 2020

NEW YORK POST

Black Lives Matter co-founder describes herself as ‘trained Marxist’

By Yaron Steinbuch    June 25, 2020

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors said in a newly surfaced video from 2015 that she and her fellow organizers are “trained Marxists” – making clear their movement’s ideological foundation, according to a report.

Cullors, 36, was the protégé of Eric Mann, former agitator of the Weather Underground domestic terror organization, and spent years absorbing the Marxist-Leninist ideology that shaped her worldview, Breitbart News reported.

“The first thing, I think, is that we actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia in particular are trained organizers,” she said, referring to BLM co-founder Alicia Garza.

“We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories. And I think that what we really tried to do is build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folk,” Cullors added in the interview with Jared Ball of The Real News Network.

While promoting her book “When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir” in 2018, Cullors described her introduction to and support for Marxist ideology.

She described to Democracy Now! how she became a trained organizer with the Labor/Community Strategy Center, which she called her “first political home” under the mentorship of Mann, its director, Breitbart reported.

The center, which describes its philosophy as “an urban experiment,” uses grassroots organization to “focus on Black and Latino communities with deep historical ties to the long history of anti-colonial, anti-imperialist, pro-communist resistance to the US empire,” according to the outlet.

SMILEY FACE LIBERALISM

Saturday, June 27th, 2020

THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

Smiley Face Liberalism

The collapse of liberal elites under a leftist offensive has been in the making for years.

By Daniel Henninger    June 24, 2020

The people in the streets—idealistic protesters, full-time activists, anarchists—are the young men and women of the current American left. The people running the country’s institutions—mayors, cultural leaders, media executives, business managers—are a generation older and cut from the cloth of traditional American liberalism. Give the left some credit: After tolerating their liberal betters for years, they knew when the opportunity had arrived to push them over the cliff. They have just taken it.

Events of the past four weeks have produced a lot of agog reactions, but among the most interesting have come from European friends who came to the U.S. years ago in search of what can only be called the American dream. Now they are asking: Why is there so little resistance to what is going on? How could cancel culture happen in a country with legally protected speech? Why has there been no defense of private property—which remains, believe it or not, a big idea in the minds of foreign-born citizens, from taxi drivers to builders of new companies?

The quick collapse of America’s elites under this left-wing offensive is striking and a historic event. Within a week of the left going after monuments to U.S. presidents—George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ulysses S. Grant—the head of the American Museum of Natural History in New York said she had no problem with dismantling history, and asked the city to take down its statue of Teddy Roosevelt on the grounds that it is offensive to blacks and Native Americans, which is absolutely disputable.

In Brooklyn, residents are in despair over nightly fireworks noise, shootings and killings as the police, under threat of prosecution or firing, have pulled back. On Monday evening, Borough President Eric Adams responded with a solution: “empower” community-groups to discuss with residents the dangers of shooting aerial bombs at each other.

How did the capitulation happen so fast? In fact, it was a long time coming. It is hardly an insight by now to blame this on the schools. But revisiting 30 years of educational irresponsibility seems necessary, insofar as the reality of the moment represents an erasure of history. If U.S. Grant, just toppled in San Francisco, was a racist, American history has indeed ceased to exist. History has a way of returning, and some day it will record how a generation of university presidents produced this result.

THE CLEAR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE LEFT AND THE RIGHT

The clear differences between the Left and the Right

By Stephen Moore  Stephen Moore is the finance and economics columnist of the Washington Examiner and an economic consultant with Freedom Works
June 5, 2020

The crisis of the coronavirus-induced economic lockdown and now the violent protests in the streets have unleashed a depression-level financial crisis and unprecedented human suffering — especially in our inner cities. These events have also exposed a Grand Canyon-sized chasm that now separates how the Left and the Right see America today. To wit:

1) The Right believes that stay-at-home orders and social distancing requirements are counterproductive and should be repealed safely and immediately. The Left believes that those orders must stay in place but should apply to those on the Right, not to liberal protesters.

2) The Right engages in nonviolence. The Left shows tacit support for mob violence.

3) The Right believes that the best way to revive the economy is to incentivize a dormant workforce to get back on the job. The Left believes that the best way to revive the economy is to pay people more money not to work than to work.

VIOLENT PROTEST AND THE INTELLIGENTSIA

Wednesday, June 10th, 2020

This interview with a professor of Russian literature points out some of the similarities between what is happening in America today and conditions in Czarist Russia right before the Russian Revolution.   Nancy
THE WALL STREET JOURNAL
VIOLENT PROTEST AND THE INTELLIGENTSIA
An Interview with Gary Saul Morson, A professor of Russian Literature at Northwestern University,    by Barton Swaim  Mr. Swaim is an editorial page writer for the Journal.
June  7, 2020
EXCERPT FROM THIS ARTICLE: In late czarist Russia, some political parties and other groups—the Social Democrats, the anarchists, the Marxists—explicitly endorsed terrorism. “The liberal party—the Constitutional Democrats, they called themselves—did not condone terrorism,” Mr. Morson says. “But they refused to condemn it. And indeed they called for the release from prison of all terrorists, who were pledged to continue terrorism right away. . . . A famous line from one of the liberal leaders put it this way: ‘Condemn terrorism? That would be the moral death of the party.’ ”

The similarities between this week’s riots and the Los Angeles riots of 1992 are obvious. Both were occasioned by appalling video images, and both divided the nation along partisan and ideological lines. The differences between the two events, however, are more revealing. The violence in 1992 came after a court verdict; the beating and arrest of Rodney King had happened more than a year before. This year’s riots came within days of George Floyd’s killing by Minneapolis officers. The riots of 1992 were mostly confined to poor and working-class areas of Los Angeles. This week saw mayhem all over America, and in Los Angeles, New York and elsewhere the rioters targeted wealthy streets and neighborhoods.

But perhaps the most striking difference is the rationalization, and sometimes full-throated defense, of violence from left-wing elites: the glorification of havoc, the vilification of cops and their middle-class admirers, highfalutin defenses of vandalism. The sense of revolution and class warfare was everywhere this week: the cognoscenti and underclass arrayed against the petty bourgeois shop owners; the elite and those they claim to represent against everybody else.

Gary Saul Morson says he has no special insight regarding police actions and the death of George Floyd. But he does have a provocative thesis about America’s current political moment: “To me it’s astonishingly like late 19th-, early 20th-century Russia, when basically the entire educated class felt you simply had to be against the regime or some sort of revolutionary.”

Mr. Morson, 72, is a professor of Russian literature at Northwestern University and an accomplished interpreter of Fyodor Dostoevsky, Anton Chekhov and Leo Tolstoy. Obviously we haven’t arrived at anything like what Lenin called a “revolutionary situation,” Mr. Morson says, but we have arrived at a situation in which well-intentioned liberal people often can’t bring themselves to say that lawless violence is wrong.
