ECO-TYRANNY: HOW THE LEFT’S GREEN AGENDA WILL DISMANTLE AMERICA
    By Brian Sussman
    WND Books, $25.95, 316 pages

“Environmentalist activists are dogmatic, ideological radicals hell-bent on transforming society into a colossal, highly regulated, redistributive commune void of inalienable rights. Their lack of integrity enables them to look you straight in the eye and lie about the facts.” Brian Sussman, veteran meteorologist-turned-KSFO-talk-radio-host in San Francisco, pulls no punches in his new expose, “Eco-Tyranny: How the Left’s Green Agenda Will Dismantle America.”

After Mr. Sussman clearly establishes the Marxist roots of the modern environmental movement in Chapter 1, the quote given above begins Chapter 2, “Green the New Red.” Now, the fact that the Reds have changed their color to green is not a revelation. That’s been known for years – how else could someone like Mikhail Gorbachev so seamlessly go from Soviet dictator to headliner in the environmental theater?

What is new in “Eco-Tyranny” are the intricate details of how the inroads made by the hard-left environmentalists into American life years ago have become a highway upon which American liberty is about to be run down.

But knowledge is power, and this book certainly will empower freedom lovers with facts about the true state of the environment and energy production and what to be vigilant of in the coming days. For instance, despite claims of the radical greens, the environment has improved tremendously over the decades and continues to improve. Our own national energy resource potential is so abundant that we need not rely on the whims of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to fuel our economy.

However, this positive situation is not good enough for those who simply use environmental concern as a means to a nefarious end.

“Eco-Tyranny” builds its well-sourced case logically, starting with the roots of the power grab (including Karl Marx and his colleague, chemist Justus von Liebig – his actual last name) moving through the key oppressive regulatory actions and usurpations and the constant academic indoctrination while reminding the reader of the role of relentless dogmatic, left-wing activism. Plenty of engaging real-life examples are documented along the way.

It’s sad that many of the angry protests and misguided economic and energy policies Americans are enduring have been energized by none other than the man-made global-warming fantasy. As with his first book, “Climategate: A Veteran Meteorologist Exposes the Global Warming Scam,” Mr. Sussman has a lot to reveal about what is known and what is just hype when it comes to climate change.

In the final chapter of “Eco-Tyranny,” titled “Red, White, and Green,” Mr. Sussman offers a glimpse into how the United States might be in 2050 if the present environmental tyranny continues unabated. Americans will be forced into “megaregions” – large zones encompassing present metropolitan areas such as New York City, Los Angeles and Dallas.

The proletariat’s habitation will be primarily in tall high-rises with plenty of access to all sorts of crowded public transportation. Large homes, private property, personal vehicles and the like will be too costly and available only to the ruling class and its friends, such as Hollywood’s privileged. Remaining expansive tracts of land will be preserved for the more worthy among us, the wild species of plants and animals that are, after all, naturally the rightful property owners.

In case the reader finds the “megaregion” living scenario a bit fantastic, Mr. Sussman backs up his vision with substantial evidence. For example, a looming monumental land grab by the Department of the Interior with the aid of numerous well-funded environmental groups is exposed. Ample evidence is given of this scheme, including a photocopy of a “Not for Release” 21-page internal department draft that details the planned property heist orchestrated by the Bureau of Land Management.

The book offers a 12-point plan to counter the well-heeled and well-established environmental operatives. The plan starts with the recommendation to abolish the Environmental Protection Agency and ends with recommending legislation that would permit reasonable construction of nuclear power plants. In between are recommendations such as repealing the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 and reversing “all Obama administration orders to limit drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, off the Eastern Seaboard, and in the Alaskan Arctic.”

“Eco-Tyranny” forewarns and forearms patriots with information necessary to break the bonds of environmental tyranny. What remains is action to undo the decades of ecological excesses that ensnare the American public. Nov. 6, 2012, is a good day to act.
