NRA MEMBERS NEED NOT APPLY
Tuesday, August 21st, 2018
Apparently, NRA membership is more damaging than being a Republican, a Libertarian, a vegetarian, a member of the ACLU, a member of the Green Party, or even a communist. Doesn’t that make your blood boil? Makes you just want to go out and join the NRA or up-grade your membership! I’m the NRA and I’m freedom’s safest place #2A #FreeToDefend
BIG BANKS TARGET THE 2ND AMENDMENT

Daniel Greenfield’s article: Big Banks Target the Bill of Rights |

The American people lent $45 billion to Bank of America during the bailout. That bailout came with a hefty $100 billion guarantee against losses on toxic assets.
That money came from American taxpayers. It came from gun owners and non-gun owners. But Bank of America has warned that it will refuse to lend money to manufacturers of “assault-style guns”. It had previously announced it was edging away from the coal business to fight global warming. Citigroup got $476 billion in cash and guarantees: the most of any bank. Now Citibank is repaying the generosity of the American people by requiring its clients to impose their own gun control policies on their stores. Impose gun control on your customers or Citibank will discriminate against you. Next up is Wells Fargo. The stagecoach brand has said that it’s up to the government to impose gun control, but that it is discussing gun safety with its clients. That’s not enough for outraged activists. The American Federation of Teachers, an organization that runs on extorting money from teachers and taxpayers, warned Wells Fargo that it had to choose between firearms manufacturers and the AFT. Bank of America announced its move to Bloomberg. The eponymous media outlet is associated with the billionaire sugar daddy of the anti-second amendment lobby. That wasn’t a coincidence. Neither was Citigroup making its announcement through Ed Skyler, Bloomberg’s former Deputy Mayor. |

HEARTS WITHOUT GOD
Saturday, March 3rd, 2018
Below is a link to a sermon audio about the recent events in Parkland, FL, presented by Pastor Charles Garrison, Calvary Memorial Church in Southern Pines, NC.
I am aware that most are so busy that invitations to listen to a man for 42 minutes will likely result in a convenient reason to skip it. Listen for 15 minutes and you will discover reasons for continuing to the end. Make time to do this without distraction.
Our nation is facing a crisis. The problem is not guns. It’s hearts without God; homes without parental discipline; schools without prayer; and, courts without justice.
Please feel free to pass this on.
Best,
Cathy

School Shooting Plot Exposed: You Won’t Believe who set it up

For the last week or so, the entire nation has been talking about gun control — or at least the media has been talking about it.
The sudden tsunami of gun control stories, articles, op-eds, and segments is the result of the terrible mass shooting that took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in beautiful Parkland, Florida.
Sadly, the focus on gun control has caused the media (and the people who get their news from the media) to miss the far-larger scandal revolving around Douglas High School. First, let me be clear; I’m not talking about the scandal of four police officers being on scene when the shooting begins, but who chose to do NOTHING while waiting outside for backup. This is a scandal in and of itself, no doubt, and it should be investigated. The police force that allowed this to happen should be shamed for it. The shooting could, and should, have been far less bloody if only these officers had done what their community expects of them.
Secondly, this isn’t about the scandal unfolding at the FBI, who knew of Nikolas Cruz and his grotesque desires for mayhem and violence. This isn’t even (entirely) about the failure of policing that took place in the months and years before the shooting – a time period that saw local police visit Nikolas Cruz 39 different times for various episodes of violence and criminality.
And finally, it isn’t about how a troubled young man, so clearly mentally and emotionally distressed, ran afoul of the law so often, but was still somehow able to pass a background check to purchase his firearm.
No, this piece is about how, at every level, the government failed us by not enforcing our laws or even abiding by simple, logical standards of behavior.
Before I launch into this, let me give credit to the folks at The Last Refuge who write at the Conservative Treehouse and did much of the legwork on this story long before the shooting at Douglas High School. In fact, the Last Refuge was investigating this story years ago, in the wake of the Trayvon Martin shooting. I was able to independently confirm much of what the Last Refuge reported (see his Twitter thread on this story here) when I spoke, on condition of anonymity, with several sources, one of whom works in the central office of the Broward School District.
The scandal that the media is ignoring, but is probably the most important part of this story, involves the Broward County School District and local police agencies colluding to lay the foundation of the Douglas High School tragedy.
What do I mean?
The story all began about 6 years ago in Miami-Dade County (the county just South of Broward), where the school district was struggling to succeed. All of the data painted a picture of a failing school district. The district noticed that large portions of their school populations were being arrested at a higher proportion than the rest of their community, and they realized that if they could cut down on the criminality of their students, they could quickly improve the data coming out of their schools

JUSTICE GINSBURG’S WISH LIST FOR THE SUPREME COURT
Tuesday, July 12th, 2016
THE WALL STREET JOURNALRuth Ginsburg’s Victory Lap
The Justice dances on the conservative Court’s political grave.
Liberals fond of griping that the Supreme Court’s conservative Justices are too political should check in with Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The Supreme Court’s oldest Justice sat down with the New York Times on Friday to deplore Republicans and predict a coming liberal ascendancy. “I can’t imagine what the country would be—withDonald Trump as our President,” the Justice averred, adding that the possibility brought to mind her late husband’s advice: “Now it’s time for us to move to New Zealand.”
Justice Ginsburg also ran a victory lap at the results of the Court’s recent term after the death of Justice Antonin Scalia. Among the highlights, she noted, last month the Court upheld racial preferences in Fisher v. University of Texas in a 4-3 vote with Justice Elena Kaganrecused. Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote the opinion, which gutted an earlier opinion he wrote in the same case.
“I don’t expect that we’re going to see another affirmative action case,” Justice Ginsburg said. “I think [Justice Kennedy] comes out as the great hero of this term.” We wonder if Justice Kennedy appreciates the political shout-out.
Asked which precedents she’d overturn, Justice Ginsburg pointed to 2008’s Heller ruling that upheld the right to bear arms, calling it “a very bad decision” that could be overruled. Justice Ginsburg has previously said that without the need for a militia, the Second Amendment is “outdated” because “its function has become obsolete.”
Her other goal is overturning Citizens United v. FEC, which in 2010 restored First Amendment rights for businesses and unions. “It would be an impossible dream. But I’d love to see Citizens Unitedoverruled,” she said, thus signaling she’ll do everything she can to see that happen. She also boasted that she expected to be back in the five-vote majority soon.
We don’t recall another Supreme Court Justice so publicly telegraphing, outside a written opinion, a vote in a future case. No wonder so many Americans think the Supreme Court has become merely another political branch. Justice Ginsburg has confirmed it.
