PROTESTERS AT THE DEFENDING THE AMERICAN DREAM SUMMIT IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
Tuesday, November 8th, 2011THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND VIDEO IS FROM CHRIS MARIE FARR, NORTH CAROLINA GRASSROOTS DIRECTOR, AMERICANS FOR PROSPERITY:
Friends,
Look at these video clips. I got caught up in this melee outside our Defending the American Dream Summit at the Washington Convention Center in DC on Friday night, November 4. There were about 1000 Occupy Wall Street protesters. We had some minor injuries and it was VERY fortunate that there were not serious injuries. I was not comfortable going through the mob to get into the building so I hid my name tag and stayed outside to watch the events unfold. I played dumb and talked to some of the protesters. Some were there because of strong beliefs in global warming and environmentalism, some were against corporate greed, some were thugs looking to get in on the action, some were there for the party. At 2:10 of the first clip, you will see a young woman verbally unleashing on the protesters. She was a NC busrider from Havelock who was there with her two children and her gunnery sergeant husband. When this crowd separated her from her 7-yr-old daughter, Mama Tiger came out. The person pulling her hair was actually her husband who was afraid she was going to get hurt. Watch these clips and get an eye (and ear) full. This did not make the mainstream news. No TV trucks or Washington reporters in sight. Unbelievable. They closed down several streets so Americans for Prosperity (who paid plenty to be at the convention center) could be protested. I learned something about myself Friday night. First, that I can stay cool in a dangerous situation. Secondly, I have no interest in getting my head bashed in. There was a boy, probably about 13 or so, with a walking stick as tall as me and about as big around as my wrist who asked me if I had come out of the convention center. As he stood there threatening me with that stick, I had to assume if I said yes, he would club me. What else could you think? I said “what would you do if I was someone who came out of the building?” He finally walked away. Click here
The Summit was fantastic and despite the protesters, people came back home motivated, inspired and ready for activism!

Disgraced vote-fraudster affiliate lobbying the Obama administration
By Matthew Vadum-
Tuesday, September 6, 2011
Why is an affiliate of the disgraced group ACORN lobbying the White House?
White House visitor records show that attorney Estelle H. Rogers, director of advocacy at ACORN-affiliated Project Vote, met with a senior aide to Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett and with Van Jones’ former chief of staff.
Is a single visit to the White House normally cause for concern? Not necessarily, but this is a visitor from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), an organization infamous for massive voter fraud and that at one time employed the president of the United States. What in the world did Ms. Rogers and White House officials talk about?
Watchdog group Judicial Watch has filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Justice Department, demanding copies of all correspondence between department officials and Ms. Rogers, a former attorney for ACORN. Judicial Watch said it is investigating the extent to which the department and Project Vote “are partnering on a national campaign to use the National Voting Rights Act (NVRA) to register more individuals on public assistance, widely considered a key voting demographic for the Obama 2012 campaign.” (more…)

LOUDEST OBAMACARE CHEERLEADER WANTS OUT

Earlier this year, the Obama administration began rewarding its union friends and others with an escape from the clutches of Obamacare. Now one of the most outspoken Obamacare supporters – the man who actually said, “I wrote the bill … the bill and I are one” wants his own “get out of jail free” card from this abominable law.
Moments of unmistakable clarity may not always find their way to the president’s teleprompter, but occasionally, the curtains are pulled back on “the most open and transparent [administration] in history” to reveal what its footsoldiers think of their own law. This conflict between politicians’ words and deeds is nothing new, of course, nor is the selective enforcement of bad laws. (more…)

Saturday, February 5th, 2011SOCIAL JUSTICE AND JUSTICE UNITED – HOW IT IS BEING INTRODUCED INTO OUR COMMUNITIES THROUGH OUR CHURCHES AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS
Tuesday, January 4th, 2011
This is the original report that was sent out last year (2010) by the Conservative Women’s Forum regarding Social Justice and Justice United and how it is being applied by IAF (Industrial Areas Foundation) in our local communities. Nancy
This information is being sent out because what is happening here in the Chapel Hill, N.C. area is probably happening all over our country.
In November 2009, several members of our Conservative Women’s Forum attended a meeting that was mentioned in a local church bulletin. This meeting was sponsored by JUSTICE UNITED which is a newly renamed local organization which is a spinoff of Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF). At the meeting, our members became concerned about the real purpose of this group and decided to do some additional checking.
The following information is gathered from IAF’s web site, a newspaper article from the Chapel Hill News, a list of local churches and community associations that have donated money to Justice United, and the history of IAF as it pertains to Saul Alinsky:
IAF, according to their web site, develops organizations that use power – organized people and organized money- in effective ways. The secret to IAF’s success lies in its commitment to identify, recruit, train, and develop leaders in every corner of every community where IAF works. There are 59 IAF affiliates functioning in 21 states, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
Their leaders and organizers build organizations whose primary purpose is power – the ability to act- and whose chief product is SOCIAL CHANGE. (sound familiar?) (more…)

Radical: A Portrait of Saul Alinsky
By Nicholas von Hoffman
(Nation Books, 214 pages, $26.95)
“Although Alinsky is described as some kind of liberal left-winger in actuality big government worried him,” writes Saul Alinsky protégé Nicholas von Hoffman in his gossamer memoir, Radical: A Portrait of Saul Alinsky. “He feared the gigantism of government, corporation and even labor union.”
Von Hoffman is trying to recast Alinsky as a government-fearing libertarian in order to make his communistic beliefs more marketable. It’s a project doomed to failure.
Alinsky’s right-hand man 50 years ago, von Hoffman paints an almost unrecognizable portrait of the Industrial Areas Foundation founder, depicting him as an idealistic fighter for the little guy, a champion of democracy. This is a Sisyphean task because Alinsky’s thuggish tactics, which Americans rightly regard as outside the legitimate political process, provide incontrovertible evidence of his small-c communism. Nonetheless, von Hoffman deems it necessary to downplay Alinsky’s ugly real-life views because they call into question the legitimacy of community organizing and today’s political leaders who emerged from that radical, un-American tradition. Today’s most famous community organizer, of course, and the reason for the recent surge in interest in Alinsky, lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. (more…)
