THE FIRST PERSON BIDEN FIRED ON INAUGURATION DAY

Friday, February 19th, 2021

The Deep State reaches into how we present ourselves to the world through organizations like Voice of America. Why would the Democrats not want the news to the  rest of the world to be accurate, objective and comprehensive?   Not a story that is being told by the media but deserves a spotlight being shown on the problem.   Nancy
AMERICA’S LOST VOICE  (THE FIRST PERSON BIDEN FIRED)

Michael Pack has the distinction of being the very first person fired by the Biden administration. On Inauguration Day, the new president fired Pack before taking action on the pandemic, the economy, or immigration. How did sacking Pack, the mild-mannered, Trump-appointed head of the small, mostly obscure U.S. Agency for Global Media, earn such a high place on Joe Biden’s to-do list?

“I don’t know how to answer that,” a slightly bemused Pack said in a recent interview. All he knows is that at 12:21 p.m., as the inauguration ceremonies went on outside the Capitol, Pack received an email from Catherine Russell, director of White House personnel — a job she had held for 21 minutes at that point. “On behalf of President Biden, I am writing to request your resignation as CEO of the U.S. Agency for Global Media,” Russell wrote. “If you do not resign by 2:00 p.m. ET today, President Biden will remove you from that office.”

So Pack, who just last year was confirmed by the Senate to a three-year term, resigned, effective 2 p.m.

Thus ended an extraordinarily rocky eight months in office, both for Pack and the agency. First, Senate Democrats delayed his confirmation for years, until, in June 2020, an impatient President Donald Trump finally pushed the Senate to act. Then, once Pack was on the job, an alliance of Hill Democrats, former agency officials, and several major media organizations waged a 24/7 campaign to undermine his plan to reform the organization. The issue was of such importance to Democrats that during the presidential campaign, Biden vowed to fire Pack immediately. And that’s what he did.

Now, it is time to look back at what Pack accomplished, and why Democrats and their media allies hated it so much.

If you have wondered why Islamic terror attacks have become less frequent,  look no further.   Muslims have been told to run for elected office where they can become influential in American politics.   Also, they all run for office as Democrats……..Nancy

‘Building Power for Muslims in Politics’

The push to place Muslims in elected offices

JUL 18, 2020   5:00 PM  BY ROBERT SPENCER

Robert Spencer is the director of Jihad Watch and a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center. He is author of 21 books, including the New York Times bestsellers The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) and The Truth About Muhammad. His latest book is Rating America’s Presidents: An America-First Look at Who Is Best, Who Is Overrated, and Who Was An Absolute Disaster. Follow him on Twitter here. Like him on Facebook here.

Editor’s note: In this monograph, Robert Spencer reveals the disquieting agenda and goals of those who are working hard to get Muslims elected to political office at the national, state, and local level. He shows how this initiative is gaining ground despite the frank anti-Americanism of Ilhan Omar and others – or is it because of that anti-Americanism?

Building power

“Invest in building power for Muslims in politics,” is the invitation from the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) in a tweet on May 23, 2020, which features a photo of a smiling Salam al-Marayati, MPAC’s President and co-founder, with the notorious Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Ca.).[1] “We ensure that Muslim voices are heard by decision-makers in Washington, DC,” the tweet also says, “and we work diligently with policymakers like Rep. Adam Schiff to advocate for legislation that protects our communities.”[2]

To those who are aware of Adam Schiff’s central role in the attempt to frame President Trump for an impeachable offense and railroad him out of office, MPAC’s upbeat declaration of civic engagement was hardly reassuring. Even more disturbing was the fact that the stated goal was not something to the effect of “Help Muslims begin to participate in the American political process,” much less anything such as “Encourage Muslims to assimilate and adopt American values,” but “invest in building power for Muslims in politics.”

Building power. It is not unreasonable to surmise from this language that MPAC, at very least, appears to be aiming toward establishing a Muslim bloc in American politics, one that will wield power and influence with its Muslim identity at the forefront, contending for candidates and policies that it deems to be in line with Islamic teachings and values.

While there are many organizations in the United States defending their own group’s interests, MPAC’s endeavor is different from the others in that Islamic law, Sharia, is authoritarian by nature, denying the freedom of speech, as well as aggressive, expansionist, and supremacist. In its classic formulations, Islamic law denies equality of rights to women and non-Muslims, and allows for a host of practices that are incompatible in numerous with American principles and customs; discussion of these issues, however, has been effectively silenced by charges of “Islamophobia” and “bigotry,” not least from al-Marayati and MPAC itself.

Ann Corcoran of Refugee Resettlement Watch asked pointed questions in November 2019, after another Islamic advocacy group, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), sent out a press release celebrating the large number of Muslims who had just been elected to various offices. “One might wonder,” Corcoran wrote, “as I did here in 2007 why if refugees and Muslim migrants of all stripes were eager to assimilate did they need to place their people (representing their religion) into local, state and federal government? And, just imagine, I asked then, if we would blatantly say—we want Catholics, Jews, other Christians as our leaders—wouldn’t all hell break loose in the media? Yet, no one seems to care if CAIR says we are electing our people, Muslims, everywhere we can!”[3]

ABC, CBS AND NBC OVERLOOK OCCUPY WALL STREET RADICALISM

Study: ABC, CBS and NBC Overlook Radicalism and Criminal Behavior at Occupy Wall Street Protests; Soundbites Favorable by 19-1
By: Geoffrey Dickens | View PDF Version
Monday, November 07, 2011 9:40 AM EST

ABC, CBS and NBC have continued their overly positive coverage of the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protestors, devoting a massive number of stories (81 in just the month of October) to the leftist, anti-capitalist movement. This is a far cry from the coverage they initially gave the Tea Party protest, granting them a scant 13 stories all of 2009. More troubling, the radicalism and criminal acts at some of the protests have been virtually ignored by the Big Three networks.

This was bound to happen given the overwhelming disparity in the number of soundbites (19 to 1 ratio) devoted to those who were sympathetic to the OWS cause. A staggering 190 (80%) soundbites were given to those who were in favor of the Occupiers, only 10 (4%) soundbites featured those who were critical of the movement, 38 (16%) were neutral. In addition, nine guests on the morning shows appreciated the OWS crowd, to just one against (Newt Gingrich).

MRC analysts reviewed the Big Three network evening (ABC’s World News, CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News) and morning shows (Good Morning America, The Early Show, Today) for the month of October and found accounts of anti-Semitism and sexual assault arrests have been completely omitted from the Big Three broadcasts. And when confrontations erupted between the police and the protestors, the networks were much more likely to pin the blame on police for instigating the violence. (more…)

ROMNEY: HOW I’LL TACKLE SPENDING AND DEBT

Monday, November 7th, 2011

USA TODAY

By Mitt Romney
November 4, 2011
  • I spent much of my 25-year career in the private sector turning around failing enterprises. With a great team behind me, I helped to turn around the Salt Lake City Olympic Games, and fix a badly broken state budget in Massachusetts. But I have never seen an enterprise as large, as poorly led, and as badly in need of a turnaround as our federal government..

President Obama inherited a severely imbalanced budget, and he made it much worse. Many now question whether we can ever return to fiscal sanity, let alone fiscal strength. A point of no return may well be approaching — a decade of huge deficits could drive our principal payments and interest rates beyond our reach while starving the economy of the capital it needs to grow.

We can still correct course because our economy retains tremendous capacity for growth. As president, I will bring to Washington the turnaround philosophy it so badly needs.

Any turnaround must begin with clear and realistic goals. By the end of my first term, I will bring federal spending as a share of GDP down from last year’s staggering 24.3% to 20% or below. This level is in line with the historical average and nears the tax revenue our economy generates when healthy. With economic growth of 4% a year, meeting this goal will require approximately $500 billion of spending cuts in 2016, and that would still allow us to undo the Obama administration’s irresponsible defense cuts.

There are three ways to reduce spending, which combined, will achieve a fiscal turnaround of this size.

First, eliminate every government program that is not absolutely essential. There are many things government does that we may like but that we do not need. The test should be this: “Is this program so critical that it is worth borrowing money to pay for it?” The federal government should stop doing things we don’t need or can’t afford. For example: (more…)

BRENT BOZELL – TIME TO CUT OFF NPR

    Time to Cut off NPR

    By Brent Bozell

    10/26/2011

National Public Radio continues to define itself in every way as a taxpayer-funded nest of leftism. NPR couldn’t just supportively report on the Occupy Wall Street protests. A fire-breathing spokeswoman for the “Occupy D.C.” protests against capitalism was also an NPR host. From late 2000 to early 2002, Lisa Simeone was an NPR anchor for their weekend version of the newscast “All Things Considered.” Now this radical was leading protests as she hosted a radio documentary series called “Soundprint” and an arts show, “The World of Opera.”

Liberals have focused on the opera show so as to dismiss criticism from conservatives. Time magazine TV writer James Poniewozik joked, “Have you long worried that your station was undermining capitalism through its broadcasts of the Ring Cycle? Tired of having your children brainwashed by the socialistic messages of La Traviata?”

OK, so put the shoe on the other foot. Imagine an NPR opera host working the weekends for the Tea Party. Time magazine writers would require smelling salts.

They are focusing on the opera angle in order to dodge the much larger issue. In an era of trillion-dollar deficits, how much longer are we going to pretend that it is an essential function of government to prop up the wholly unnecessary NPR to spew on the air the same warmed-over ’60s bilge the OWS rabble spews on the streets? It’s time for Congress to cut the umbilical cord and stop bankrolling this rogue political operation.

The narrower question about Lisa Simeone was whether NPR was going to live up to its own ethics rules, which forbid attending protests, let alone organizing them and serving as public relations staff for them. The “Soundprint” series, which is not produced by NPR but is a current events show, fired Simeone. That decision was a no-brainer. (more…)
