Our society’s ‘top brains’ have gone mad — and dysfunctional politics is the result

“Suppose we got it all wrong and the real crazies are the TV people in nice suits and $300 haircuts?”
That’s an observation by Richard Fernandez on Twitter, and he has a good point.
There’s a lot of craziness in the air these days.
But for the most part it seems to be flowing from the top down, not bubbling up from the bottom.
It wasn’t farmers and factory workers who came up with the idiotic COVID responses — nor was it they who originated the more or less criminal idea of conducting “gain of function” research on making dangerous viruses more dangerous.
It wasn’t shopkeepers and bus drivers who thought the way to deal with burgeoning urban crime was to get rid of police and release criminals without bail.
It hasn’t been landscapers and auto mechanics championing the notion that a child in the single-digit age range can make a lifetime choice about his or her genitalia or maintaining that even criticizing that idea is itself a species of “violence.”
Ordinary Americans haven’t been claiming the way to promote free speech is to censor people or the way to end racism is to classify everyone by race and consequently treat them differently.

‘Fanatic?’: Biden’s New CDC Director Was Strong Proponent of Pandemic Mandates, Masks and Lockdowns
President Biden’s pick to head the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a “proven track record protecting Americans’ health and safety,” according to the White House, but critics attacked her support for strict mandates and lockdowns and questioned her latest employer’s ties to the Gates Foundation and World Economic Forum.

President Biden’s pick to head the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a “proven track record protecting Americans’ health and safety,” according to the White House.
The White House cited Dr. Mandy Cohen’s “leadership through the COVID-19 crisis” for drawing “bipartisan praise” and her “ability to find common ground and put complex policy into action.”
But critics of Biden’s appointee who spoke with The Defender took a different view of Cohen’s track record — especially her support for lockdowns and mandates during the pandemic, when she led North Carolina’s pandemic response as head of North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS).
“Cohen appears to be fully entrenched in the ‘bio-pharmaceutical complex,’” Dr. Peter McCullough told The Defender.
McCullough, author of “The Courage to Face COVID-19: Preventing Hospitalization and Death While Battling the Bio-Pharmaceutical Complex,” said:
“She was on the wrong side of every pandemic public health intervention, failed to recognize early therapeutics and natural immunity, and to date has not acknowledged the safety disaster unfolding with the COVID-19 mass, indiscriminate, vaccination program.”

In his third installment of the Plandemic series, documentary filmmaker Mikki Willis explores the psychological and ideological roots of all of the skulduggery we’ve witnessed since March of 2020, and investigates the chief decision makers behind the tyrannical pandemic policies. Billionaire villains such as Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, and George Soros have appealed to collectivist sentiments among the young and disaffected while using their vast wealth and influence to build a centralized command structure for imposing their harebrained schemes on mankind, across all national jurisdictions. The ultimate impediment to their aspiration for world domination is the U.S. Constitution, which has, for the last 230 years, served as mankind’s brightest and most successful model of limited government. If the U.S. Constitution falls and U.S. sovereignty is ceded to globalist institutions such as the WHO, there will be little if anything to protect the citizenry from total, centralized state power exerted by blundering tyrants.

Debbie Lerman: How America’s National Security Complex Took Over the Pandemic Response
In this episode, I sit down with Brownstone Institute fellow Debbie Lerman to discuss her research into U.S. government documents and the origins of America’s pandemic policies.
The response to COVID—from lockdowns to mask mandates to vaccine mandates—was actually a national security response, not a public health response, she argues.
According to Lerman’s research, in a sharp break from official pandemic preparedness plans, the National Security Council (NSC) was put in charge of the pandemic policy in 2020. And Health and Human Services (HHS) was removed as the lead federal agency for the pandemic response and replaced with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), who “were like a deer in headlights,” she argues.
What really happened in the first few months of 2020?
And for years now, scientists have been working on mRNA technology, but prior to the COVID-19 vaccines, nothing had been approved. The pandemic turned into an opportunity, she says, and now—despite growing evidence of critical side effects from the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines—Moderna and BioNTech have dozens of new mRNA vaccines and therapeutics in development.

Biden Admin Negotiates Deal to Give WHO Authority Over US Pandemic Policies

The Biden administration is readying to sign a “legally binding” agreement with the World Health Organization that would permit it the authority to dictate U.S. policies during a pandemic, The Epoch Times has reported.
The “zero draft” of a pandemic treaty was published earlier this month and the final terms are scheduled to be worked out next week so that all members can then sign.
This came on the heels of a meeting in September, where a joint announcement put out by U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus declared that a platform has been developed “to maximize the longstanding U.S. government-WHO partnership, and to protect and promote the health of all people around the globe, including the American people.”
Despite widespread criticism of the organization for its actions during the coronavirus pandemic, the zero draft grants the organization the power to declare and manage a global pandemic emergency.
If a health emergency is declared, all signatories would have to submit to the authority of the WHO regarding treatments, government regulations such as lockdowns and vaccine mandates, global supply chains, and monitoring and surveillance of populations, according to The Epoch Times report over the weekend.
