LIBERAL COMPANIES PAYING EMPLOYEES TO PROTEST AGAINST TRUMP

JUNE 8, 2017

There’s this odd thing that has been going on since Donald Trump became President. He says something and the liberal media spends a week “proving” that he was wrong, only to be shown he was 100% right. He said Obama was spying on him and that turned out to be true. He said there was voter fraud and there was. Another thing that the liberals were outraged over was when Trump said leftist protesters were paid to oppose him. Guess what? That’s true too.
The San Francisco Chronicle, of all media outlets, were the ones to break the news that liberal companies are now paying their employees to take up arms in the anti-Trump Resistance.

It’s a common accusation lobbed at liberal protesters gathered at town hall meetings, statehouses and in the streets: They’re being paid to protest.
Thanks to a rising trend among tech companies and some Bay Area firms, some, in fact, may be.
Since the beginning of the year, an increasing number of companies have unveiled policies that allow employees to take paid time off work for political or civic activities, such as protesting, canvassing, voting, volunteering or even running for office.
Big corporations like Comcast and outdoor-apparel maker Patagonia have been offering social-justice benefits to their employees for years. But several executives said the election of President Trump, and the backlash that followed, turned them on to the idea of giving their employees time off to express themselves politically.
“Democracy is a participatory institution; it’s not just something that takes place every four years when you have a candidate in a race,” said Adam Kleinberg, CEO of San Francisco marketing firm Traction, which is allowing employees two paid “Days of Action” for civic engagement per year. The company’s policy includes a list of approved activities and requires employees to state their plans in advance.
I wonder if those “approved activities” include a pro-Trump rally, an anti-illegal immigration march, or attending the NRA’s national convention. I’m kidding, I don’t wonder that at all. I’m certain they would not be approved.
But don’t just take my word for it, here’s Kleinberg explaining how he supports all ideologies with his paid protest program:
“I was certainly motivated because I think Trump is a man with dangerous ideas and low moral character,” said Kleinberg.
Sounds pretty fair and balanced to me.
Apparently larger companies are getting in on the action too:
But big corporations like Facebook, with thousands of employees of varied backgrounds and political views, may be entertaining a similar change: It told employees they could use paid leave time to attend pro-immigrant May Day demonstrations.
Several executives said the election underscored what they see as a need for greater civic engagement.
The headline for the SF Chronicle piece was titled, “Bay Area demonstrators may be paid to protest, by employers.” There is no “may” about it, these employees are getting paid to protest. If you give someone the day off with pay so they can resist Trump, you just paid them to protest and that’s what these companies are doing.
For those liberal media types who constantly accuse President Trump of being wrong and lying, this is yet another thing he was right about. Since predicting that he would never win the election, the media has consistently misjudged everything involving him. Either they are the dumbest people on the planet, or they are so blind with their hatred of him that they will flush their credibility down the toilet to oppose him. I think it’s both.
