Thanks to Chriss Rainey of Virginia, (one of our readers)   for sharing this information with us.    We have to be aware of what is going on around us.  Nancy

Schools and empower Muslims.   Notice how the information is very clear about what attire is acceptable?

Dear Nancy,

They get bolder by the day.  Below is a note I sent to some unnamed recipients yesterday but I thought you also might like to see it.  As you may be aware, Fairfax County School District was at one time lauded as one of the finest in the country.  That is no longer the case, but it is still very large and very close to DC.  I suspect there is a very large population of illegal immigrants in our schools.  Girl Scout troops are always having backpack drives for “needy students.”  We just got a message from our cluster board president asking us to contribute to the “drive” to send home food for these “needy” students to eat on the weekends since they don’t get fed at home.

No doubt this population has brought the quality of education down significantly most especially because of language issues, but now we have in our area a growing Muslim population that is flexing its muscle and expecting to be heard.

VOICE is here in Virginia and it began as a progressive liberal community organizing group mostly bent on “ending poverty.”  Now judging from the list below they are now all about sanctuary and Muslim rights.  The imam in the video is dead serious.  Some would argue, well, ok, let’s have ALL prayer and then everyone will be happy.  But I would never want any child of mine exposed to Muslim religion in a setting I could not control and explain.  I don’t want the practice of that religion in schools PERIOD.

I am a Catholic today partly because I played with Catholic children when I was growing up and I was exposed to their religious practices.  So I know that even for a child, exposure to something can have a life long influence.

Dear All,

Someone forwarded this message below to me that comes from VOICE, which is, if you don’t know, an organization to which St. John Neumann Catholic Church BELONGS, pays dues to, as a member congregation.  (see link below for other members of this organization)

I have written to some of you in the past about my serious reservations of this organization and I am sending this now because I think it is the most blatant example of why Catholics should steer clear of such interfaith ecumenical activities.

Scroll down this page and click on the video where it says:  Click here.  The film is only three minutes long.  It is an imam letting you know this rally is about pressuring elected leaders in our area to support Muslim prayer in Fairfax Co. Is this really where St. John Neumann  and several other CATHOLIC parishes think is a good idea to spend the parishioner’s money?  The fact is, the parishioners are in most cases never asked.  The decision to join this socialist organization—founded by the socialist, Saul Alinsky, author of Rules for Radicals, is made by the pastor and a small number of people involved in social justice ministry.

This “action” they are planning is right out of the Alinsky playbook.
