PHOTOS – ICON LECTURE – AFFORDABLE CARE ACT – FEBRUARY 4, 2014

On Tuesday, February 4, 2014, The ICON (Issues Confronting Our Nation) took an in-depth look at the Affordable Care Act.  The guest speakers were:

 Franc A. Barada, Jr., M.D., board certified Internal medicine/rheumatology, Durham, NC,     Hank Estep, Partner, Griffin Estep Benefits Group, Wilmington, NC,     Deborah Wilkins, CEO, Medical Practice Advisory Group, LLC & President, Leading Edge Healthcare Professions, LTD, Durham, NC,   and     Ken Lewis, CEO, First Carolina Care, Pinehurst, NC

Their presentation was a thorough analysis of how the Affordable Care Act will affect physicians, insurance companies, small business and , also, how the taxpayers will be affected over the next decade as the costs and consequences of this healthcare act will become more evident.

A special ICON Lecture  on the subject of Immigration will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Levin Jewish Community Center, 1937 W.
