Parents have victory over LGBT children’s displays at Texas public library – as Library Board votes in new policy

Follows months of outrage by local citizens at Board meetings

Organized by MassResistance Texas activist

“It’s not perfect but potentially everything we want”

April 21, 2018

Local parents and citizens came to the Temple Library Board meeting on Tuesday morning, April 17.

Around the country there are battles over homosexual and transgender groups pushing their agenda on children in public libraries. In Texas parents are fighting back and winning.

After months of relentless outrage directed at their local Library Board over an aggressive “gay pride” display targeting children in the public library, parents and citizens in Temple, TX have forced the Board to back down, despite pressure from outside pro-LGBT groups not to change anything.

The “gay pride month” library display for children included colorful books, posters, placards, and even slogans on the walls promoting homosexuality and transgenderism.

Thus, on April 17 the Board approved an official library display policy. The policy has some vague parts, so the issue is likely not completely settled. But this is clearly a victory for parents. Local LGBT activists are not happy.

This is the result of not having Immigration laws that really vet those who are permitted to enter a country and enforce them.  A country should not allow anyone to enter their country illegally.  President Trump is so correct on this issue and I hope every citizen will support him.  It is most important of what you see in the video below will take place in this country. We are lucky to receive this alert and act now to prevent this from happening in our great country.

TWO REPUBLICANS VOTE AGAINST 20 WEEK ABORTION BAN

Tuesday, January 30th, 2018

Two senators who happen to be members of the only party that respects life of the unborn
and has ‘pro life’ in its platform voted against legislation to limit abortions to within 20 weeks.
Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins joined Democrats to ‘kill’, the bill to ‘save’ more lives, an
effort that supported ‘choice’ while respecting the full  development of the ‘unborn’.
It was too much to hope for.
The story…..
As it is the right of every member of Congress to vote as they choose, with one million abortions
annually any effort to reduce this number should be advanced, as this bill would have.
Twenty weeks should be more than enough time to decide whether to abort or continue a pregnancy.
Yet, even with legislation that permits late term option too many legislators do not appreciate the
beating heart within.

WHEN STUDENT TEACHERS ARE SHUNNED

Tuesday, January 16th, 2018

This a disturbing article regarding what is being taught in our schools and how it is affecting the behavior in our society.  How ironic that the Left which  pushes explicit deviant sexual education for middle schoolers finds President Trump’s frank  remarks so offensive.   What I dislike so much about the Left is how hypocritical they are with their fake outrage designed specifically for their  political purposes and yet they refuse to see that their leftist educational policies are causing more harm to our society than anything President Trump could ever say.  .     Nancy

When student teachers are shunned

 – –   • Everett Piper, president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, is the author of “Not A Day Care: The Devastating Consequences of Abandoning Truth” (Regnery 2017).
Sunday, January 14, 2018

The Oklahoma Council for Public Affairs reports that a collective bargaining group representing public schools in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, is calling for a boycott of student teachers from the local Christian university. The reason for the proposed shunning? Oklahoma Wesleyan University’s president (yours truly) dared to suggest that the bad ideas presently being taught in our nation’s schools might, at least in part, be responsible for the bad behavior we are seeing in our national news.

In other words — and call me crazy here — I am openly wondering if what Richard Weaver wrote of in his seminal 1948 classic, “Ideas Have Consequences,” might actually be true: Education matters and what we teach in our classrooms does actually get practiced in our culture.

More to the point, in these very pages on Nov. 29, 2017, in a column titled “Teaching lechery and getting lechers” I averred that today’s long list of Hollywood and Washington miscreants might have something in common — they are products of our nation’s schools and, as such, they might just be acting out the failed ideas they have been taught at their respective alma maters.

In other words, garbage in and garbage out. Teach sexual license and get sexual licentiousness. Tell young boys that sex is amoral and don’t be surprised if they grow up to be young men who behave immorally.

Think about it. How many hours a week do kids spend with their parents? How many hours a week do they spend at their church? Now, how many hours a week do they spend at their schools? Just in terms of raw quantitative input, it is clear that our educational institutions have more influence on our culture than any other entity. Our colleges, universities, and public schools can’t pretend to be innocent here. What we teach (or don’t teach) surely has some bearing on human beliefs and behavior. And if not, then why bother?

But, for suggesting such possibilities of cause and effect, the Bartlesville Education Association (BEA) issued the following demand on Dec. 11, 2017, in Bartlesville’s local newspaper: “Bartlesville Public Schools [must] refrain from accepting student teachers for any training in our classrooms until Dr. Everett Piper publicly apologizes for [his] personal attack on our [teachers].”

VIDEO PRAGER U VS GOOGLE

“OBAMA’S ENFORCER: ERIC HOLDER’S JUSTICE DEPARTMENT”

Saturday, December 16th, 2017

The co-author of the book mentioned in the article below,  “Obama’s Enforcer:  Eric Holder’s Justice Department”,  is Hans A. von Spakovsky who will be guest speaker at ICON in Chapel Hill on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.  Season tickets for all of ICON’s lectures are now available at www.iconlectureseries.com     Nancy
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
A TALE OF TWO CULTURES

Daniel Oliver is chairman of the board of the Education and Research Institute and a director of Citizens for the Republic.

EXCERPT FROM THIS ARTICLE:  John Fund and Hans A. von Spakovsky wrote a whole book on corruption in the Holder Justice Department called “Obama’s Enforcer: Eric Holder’s Justice Department.”

One longtime lawyer in the Civil Rights Division told the authors Mr. Holder had: racialized and radicalized the division to the point of corruption. They embedded politically leftist extremists in the career ranks who have an agenda that does not comport with equal protection or the rule of law; who believe that the ends justify the means; and who behave unprofessionally and unethically. Their policy is to intimidate and threaten employees who do not agree with their politics.

“Prospect of New Special Counsel Rattles Justice” was the scary front-page headline on a recent, worried edition of The Washington Post. The faux fuss was caused by Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ suggestion that after weighing recommendations from senior prosecutors, he might appoint a special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton’s role in the Uranium One deal.

The key facts of that deal, for those whose attention has been wholly absorbed by the all-day coverage of the corruption trial of Sen. Bob Menendez (New Jersey Democrat, of course), are: First, Russian interests gave the Clinton Foundation $145 million dollars; second, paid (now finally, not after Harvey Weinstein but only after Roy Moore) disgraced former President Bill Clinton $500,000 for a short speech on tying shoelaces; following which, third, the sale of Uranium One to the Russians was cleared by the State Department then run by (now mostly disgraced for covering shamelessly for the now finally and fully disgraced said Bill ClintonHillary Clinton.

It’s true that eight other government agencies also had to approve the sale, but does anyone really think that either a low-level bureaucrat, a mid-level Democratic appointee, or a possible future Democratic candidate for any office in the land (even canine collector) would have crossed the Democratic Party’s very own Wicked Witch of the West?

Democratic Louis Renaults, who are rattled at what they claim is politicization of the Justice Department, should turn the clock back (any conservative can show them how) to the Eric Holder Justice Department days for a master class on politicizing.

John Fund and Hans A. von Spakovsky wrote a whole book on corruption in the Holder Justice Department called “Obama’s Enforcer: Eric Holder’s Justice Department.”

People may differ on what kind of actions they think rise to the level of politicization. That is not only inevitable, but increasingly likely in our increasingly polarized political world.

The real issue, slouching slowly toward our conscientiousness, is: Can two major cultures coexist in our democracy? In any democracy?

American politics has always been rambunctious. One need only read accounts of some of America’s early political campaigns to get a sense of the permanence of political hyperbole — doing business as mudslinging.

Even so, perhaps, but only perhaps, we think the administration of justice should be different. It would be satisfying to blame the high-octane politicization of the courts on Sen. Edward Kennedy’s unspeakable campaign in 1987 against Robert Bork’s confirmation to be a justice on the Supreme Court. In fact, the uber-politicization of the courts began years earlier, perhaps in 1973 with the Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade legalizing abortion. That decision was simply legislation from the bench; divisive then, divisive now. And more legislation, and more divisiveness, came with the Supreme Court’s decisions legalizing sodomy, in Lawrence v. Texas (2003), and marriage between homosexuals, in Obergefell v. Hodges (2015).

But now the party’s over, for the left. And you can see why they’re worried. There are 18 vacancies on the Courts of Appeal and 127 in the Federal District Courts. The Senate has already confirmed 12 of President Trump’s nominees. He may fill most of the remaining vacancies during his first term, and will certainly fill them all if he gets a second term. Because the judges serve for life, their influence will be felt for decades to come.

But there are still two cultures. One lives according to traditional Western Civ. morality, the other pushes a feel-good cocktail of new-age practices; one believes in limited government, the other that government power should reign supreme. And the struggle will continue. The leftist side has been most prominently represented by the Clintons, though it does look now as if their day, finally, is passing. It’s passing because of Hillary’s defeat, and because of Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein’s behavior, and that of so many of the left-wing cinematic glitterati whose behavior was just like his and, just like his, known to the rest of the denizens of the glitterati galaxy — including, undoubtedly, the Clintons.

Is it any wonder the Deplorables say, “Lock her up”?

Lock her up, indeed. Tempting. Better, probably — more fun, certainly — to put one of those ankle bracelets on her and on Bill, and sentence them to stay close to each other, always. Till death do them part.

A better slogan might be: “Lock her up — and give culture a chance.” But the rattled writers of scary headlines know that traditional Western Civ. culture may now get a chance even if she stays free.

PARENTS BEWARE: DISNEY IS INDOCTRINATING OUR CHILDREN

Saturday, December 2nd, 2017

Another example of how our children and grandchildren are being indoctrinated  and by Disney, no less !   Nancy

Disney used to be a brand parents could trust. When a movie or TV show had the Disney stamp of approval, parents could rest easy knowing their children were watching morally and family-friendly programming.

Now, nothing could be further from the truth.

And Disney’s latest stunt pushed the line even further and crossed over into a dangerous territory every parent must be made aware of.

Their latest cartoon show actually introduced a boy princess, and had lines such as “he can be a princess if he wants to.”

This gender confusion further adds to the chaos young children are unfairly left to sort out.

You see, LGBT activists are determined to push their perverse agenda onto the American public.

But the most horrifying thing is, they are using children as their pass to infiltrate their agenda and make it seem mainstream.

Attempting to make the homosexual lifestyle seem “cool,” they are putting it into children’s shows as if it’s something completely normal.
