This a disturbing article regarding what is being taught in our schools and how it is affecting the behavior in our society.  How ironic that the Left which  pushes explicit deviant sexual education for middle schoolers finds President Trump’s frank  remarks so offensive.   What I dislike so much about the Left is how hypocritical they are with their fake outrage designed specifically for their  political purposes and yet they refuse to see that their leftist educational policies are causing more harm to our society than anything President Trump could ever say.  .     Nancy

The Oklahoma Council for Public Affairs reports that a collective bargaining group representing public schools in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, is calling for a boycott of student teachers from the local Christian university. The reason for the proposed shunning? Oklahoma Wesleyan University’s president (yours truly) dared to suggest that the bad ideas presently being taught in our nation’s schools might, at least in part, be responsible for the bad behavior we are seeing in our national news.

In other words — and call me crazy here — I am openly wondering if what Richard Weaver wrote of in his seminal 1948 classic, “Ideas Have Consequences,” might actually be true: Education matters and what we teach in our classrooms does actually get practiced in our culture.

More to the point, in these very pages on Nov. 29, 2017, in a column titled “Teaching lechery and getting lechers” I averred that today’s long list of Hollywood and Washington miscreants might have something in common — they are products of our nation’s schools and, as such, they might just be acting out the failed ideas they have been taught at their respective alma maters.

In other words, garbage in and garbage out. Teach sexual license and get sexual licentiousness. Tell young boys that sex is amoral and don’t be surprised if they grow up to be young men who behave immorally.

Think about it. How many hours a week do kids spend with their parents? How many hours a week do they spend at their church? Now, how many hours a week do they spend at their schools? Just in terms of raw quantitative input, it is clear that our educational institutions have more influence on our culture than any other entity. Our colleges, universities, and public schools can’t pretend to be innocent here. What we teach (or don’t teach) surely has some bearing on human beliefs and behavior. And if not, then why bother?

But, for suggesting such possibilities of cause and effect, the Bartlesville Education Association (BEA) issued the following demand on Dec. 11, 2017, in Bartlesville’s local newspaper: “Bartlesville Public Schools [must] refrain from accepting student teachers for any training in our classrooms until Dr. Everett Piper publicly apologizes for [his] personal attack on our [teachers].”

Five Myths about Jihadi Radicalization

“You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth,” Winston Churchill famously stated.  The Islamist tiger in the United States is ready to pounce, and until Americans understand this enemy, we cannot even begin to fight back.  Dispelling myths about jihadist radicalization is only the beginning.

Myth #1: Poor, uneducated, downtrodden youths are more likely to become jihadists.

Many school administrators, local politicians, and community members believe that young adults have a greater chance of becoming jihadists if they hail from an underprivileged, deprived neighborhood.  Their solution is to fundraise for after-school programs and free lunches, believing that this will keep the youth “out of trouble.”  This 1960s thinking will not solve the jihadist problem because it is not about money or more programs.  It is about an extreme ideology and belief system.

According to a 2016 World Bank study, most jihadists grew up in a middle-class family and earned at least a college degree.  “There is no link between poverty or educational levels and radicalization.”

According to the Gatestone Institute, “Britain’s MI5 revealed that ‘two-thirds of the British suspects have a middle-class profile and those who want to be suicide bombers are often the most educated.”

Jihadi leaders who used their fortunes and education for jihad include:

  • Osama bin Laden: estimated net worth $300 million, studied at King Abdulaziz University and summer at Oxford.
  • Ayman al-Zawahiri: head of al-Qaeda, was a medical doctor.
  • Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab: the “underwear bomber,” had a degree from University College in London.
  • Omar Saeed Sheik: terrorist who was convicted of murdering American journalist Daniel Pearl, attended the London School of Economics.

Fourteen-, fifteen-, and sixteen-year-old girls, all honor students from middle-class families, left London to join ISIS in Syria, where one of them, Kadiza Sultana, was killed in an airstrike.

How many conversations have we had with our friends, family and co-workers wondering what happened to the millennials? We expect a new generation to have new ideas and new ways of approaching the world. So how do we explain when a new generation is steeped in bullying, complaining about hurt feelings, demanding “safe spaces,” and using pride in fragile egos and weakened emotional states as the excuse to condemn free speech?

There’s more than one swamp eating away at this nation. The ignorant and intolerant meltdown of students is brought to us by a “liberal” education system determined to replace teaching with propaganda and logic and reason with unmoored emotion.

One of the more recent examples comes from last week. College students in New York were thrown out of a student-run coffee shop because their “Make America Great Again” caps violated the “safe space” rules. The offending students were accused of being fascists and given three minutes to leave the premises.

Disney used to be a brand parents could trust. When a movie or TV show had the Disney stamp of approval, parents could rest easy knowing their children were watching morally and family-friendly programming.

Now, nothing could be further from the truth.

And Disney’s latest stunt pushed the line even further and crossed over into a dangerous territory every parent must be made aware of.

Their latest cartoon show actually introduced a boy princess, and had lines such as “he can be a princess if he wants to.”

This gender confusion further adds to the chaos young children are unfairly left to sort out.

You see, LGBT activists are determined to push their perverse agenda onto the American public.

But the most horrifying thing is, they are using children as their pass to infiltrate their agenda and make it seem mainstream.

Attempting to make the homosexual lifestyle seem “cool,” they are putting it into children’s shows as if it’s something completely normal.

“Culturally-relevant pedagogy”
On October 14th, Hamline University hosted a seminar by Michael Abraham from Abraham Educational Services on how public schools can increase “engagement of Muslim students with culturally relevant pedagogy” and “honor their cultural identity in the classroom.” Almost 30 teachers showed up at $99 a head for a six hour seminar and Continuing Education credits. A follow-up seminar is scheduled for January 20th.

What is “culturally relevant” Muslim pedagogy?

Muslim “culturally relevant pedagogy” is teaching the religion of Islam, because Muslim “culture” is Islam. The two are inseparable. This course promises to instruct teachers how to “honor” the Muslim culture in the classroom, which means teaching students to “honor” the religion of Islam. Michael Abraham, the instructor, does not simply teach about Islam; he recommends materials for classroom use that teach how to become a Muslim. This is advocating!
Incorporating Islam and Abraham’s culturally relevant “pedagogical tools, literary resources, and narratives” into the public school classroom violate all educational boundaries. His approach imitates today’s LGBT pedagogy in the classroom which also demands, in the name of “safe schools,” that students “honor, respect and celebrate” a false, dangerous “gender fluid” ideology.

Teaching students respect for all people can never, under the guise of diversity, be a mandate for them to honor and imitate the rites and customs of a religion they believe is false.

The hack lasted close to two hours, during which time visitors to the sites were redirected to a YouTube video with Arabic audio and pictures of Saddam Hussein. Text also appeared which read, “I love Islamic State (ISIS).”

The websites are all hosted by a company called School Desk (schooldesk.net) and are all connected to a server in Georgia.

School Desk has given a copy of the server to the FBI. Some schools have also hired outside security firms to help track down the hackers.

All the affected websites have been shut down to aid the FBI in its investigation.

“You always think it happens somewhere else, and now it’s hitting home,” said Nicole Tierney, who is connected to a school in New Jersey whose site was hacked.

“It’s upsetting to us,” said Rob Frierson, the owner of School Desk, speaking to CBS New York. “We’ve been running this business for 17 years,and we’ve never had any sort of incident even remotely like this.”

Education Jihad: Promoting Islam in American Schools

For decades, organizations and individuals have undermined our American education system by attacking our beliefs in a constitutional republic and our fundamental Judeo-Christian principles.  These have been supplanted with a “multicultural” viewpoint, which has taken the place of traditional American perspectives and values with accommodation and appeasement of protected minorities depicted as victims of the dominant culture.  Oil-rich Arab-Muslim nations, including Saudi Arabia and its Muslim Brotherhood cohorts, have used multiculturalism to target impressionable youths in our public schools, promote Islam, and advance Islamic political agendas.  Under the subterfuge of promoting a multicultural educational environment, these agents have replaced time-honored educational materials of American ideals and historical perspectives with anti-American, anti-Israel, anti-Judeo-Christian, and pro-Islamic rhetoric.
This re-engineering of the education system to disproportionately highlight the virtues and contributions of Islamic ideology is part of “civilizational jihad,” the enemy’s term for the subversion of our society.  It was defined in the 1991 Muslim Brotherhood document “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America,” presented as evidence in the 2008 Holy Land Foundation terrorism trial.  The document calls for the stealth takeover of North America through infiltration of all of society, with the ultimate goal of destroying the U.S. and turning it into a Muslim nation.
