WHAT THE LEFT DID TO OUR COUNTRY
September 4, 2023

In the last 20 years, the Left has boasted that it has gained control of most of America institutions of power and influence—the corporate boardroom, media, Silicon Valley, Wall Street, the administrative state, academia, foundations, social media, entertainment, professional sports, and Hollywood.

With such support, between 2009-17, Barack Obama was empowered to transform the Democratic Party from its middle-class roots and class concerns into the party of the bicoastal rich and subsidized poor—obsessions with big money, race, a new intolerant green religion, and dividing the country into a binary of oppressors and oppressed.

The Obamas entered the presidency spouting the usual leftwing boilerplate (“spread the wealth,” “just downright mean country,” “get in their face,” “first time I’ve been proud of my country”) as upper-middle-class, former community activists, hurt that their genius and talents had not yet been sufficiently monetized.

DIRECT GOVERNMENT CENSORSHIP OF THE INTERNET

Direct Government Censorship Of The Internet Is Here

BY TYLER DURDEN
SUNDAY, SEP 03, 2023 – 11:30 PM

Authored by Michael Snyder via The Economic Collapse blog,

Censorship of the Internet has been getting worse for years, but we just crossed a threshold which is going to take things to a whole new level.

On August 25th, a new law known as the “Digital Services Act” went into effect in the European Union.  Under this new law, European bureaucrats will be able to order big tech companies to censor any content that is considered to be “illegal”, “disinformation” or “hate speech”.  That includes content that is posted by users outside of the European Union, because someone that lives in the European Union might see it.  I wrote about this a few days ago, but I don’t think that people are really understanding the implications of this new law.  In the past, there have been times when governments have requested that big tech companies take down certain material, but now this new law will give government officials the power to force big tech companies to take down any content that they do not like.

These new content rules are so vague that they could apply to just about anything.

U.S. TAKES ON COBALT’S INCONVENIENT TRUTH

In Quest for Battery Metals, U.S. Takes On Cobalt’s ‘Inconvenient Truth’

U.S. officials are offering grants to companies willing to support workers in Congo’s dangerous informal mining sector

The U.S. is turning to a much-criticized source as it races to secure supplies of battery metals to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles.

To do so, it is homing in on cobalt from the Democratic Republic of Congo’s informal mining sector, where miners, sometimes including children, often work with no safety equipment in dangerous, hand-dug mines. Congo supplies around 70% of the world’s cobalt, a key metal in the lithium-ion batteries used in EVs, with about a third of that coming from these so-called artisanal miners.

Wyoming becomes latest state to launch AI-powered mass surveillance

Council members vote reluctantly to install cameras

August 11, 2023

Wyoming last week became the latest state to install AI-powered mass surveillance cameras, which will begin in the town of Jackson.

Cameras using automated license plate recognition (ALPR) technology can scan passing cars and capture license plate numbers, makes and models, colors, and identifying markers such as bumper stickers or broken tail lights. They then use artificial intelligence to break these data down into searchable queries and match them against the FBI’s National Crime Information Center (NCIC). If there is a match, a real-time alert is sent to law enforcement.

Jackson, Wyoming

The cameras feed into a centralized mass camera network owned by the manufacturer, Flock Safety, which it calls a “public safety platform”.

On Wednesday, the Jackson Town Council narrowly voted to spend $185,000 to install 30 ALPR Falcon cameras from Flock Safety, though even proponents of the measure felt uneasy.

“I don’t like this particular arc of this particular part of history,” said Councilman Josh Schechter. “I’m screaming ‘stop’ as I vote ‘yes.’”

Councilwoman Sell Chambers, who also voted “yes”, expressed her trepidation.

“I have traditionally been anti-surveillance, I think it has been a slippery slope,” she said. “But I just think that that ship has sailed. We are so under surveillance, like constantly, everywhere.”

Over 2,000 cities across 43 states have already installed Flock Safety’s ALPR cameras, according to the Daily Wire. The devices can also be purchased by private individuals, businesses, schools and homeowners associations (HOAs), who can also create their own “hot lists”. Hundreds of HOAs are reportedly using the cameras.

Flock Safety also sells other devices such as Raven, an audio device built to detect the sounds of gunshots, breaking glass, sawing metal or screeching tires.

Aside from being used to “fight crime” ALPR cameras are being used in other parts of the world to enforce climate mandates.

Wyoming

In the United Kingdom and Europe, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras are placed around Ultra-Low Emission Zones (ULEZ), areas only accessible to low-emission vehicles. Cars that do not meet the city’s environmental standards are charged a daily fee for entering the ULEZ, which in London costs £12.50 ($16.00). Fines are levied against cars which the cameras catch entering without the authorized sticker.

But Londoners are not responding well to the climate mandates, refusing to pay the fines and even vandalizing dozens of cameras.

VACUUMING UP THE CARBON DIOXIDE !!!

Wednesday, August 16th, 2023

Good Grief, what will the human caused climate change believers think up next ?  Just another way to spend our hard earned tax money !  Stop cutting down the forests in the Amazon, and start planting more trees around the world including in  the U.S.  I live on a one acre wooded lot, my trees are so thick you can’t see my house from the street in the spring,  summer and fall  when the leaves are on the trees and I love it as my goal is to create a bird sanctuary  as the birds eat the insects so there is no need to spray harmful insecticides.  Plus a variety of birds at your feeder is a delight.  Work with mother nature and you will create your own  healthy environment.  Nancy

Biden Regime to Spend $1.2 Billion to Vacuum Carbon Dioxide Out Of The Air

By David Greyson  Aug. 12, 2023

On Friday, the Biden regime announced it will spend $1.2 billion in taxpayer money to vacuum the sky of carbon dioxide.

Energy Secretary Granholm boasted about the project to reporters on Friday.

“These two projects are going to build these regional direct air capture hubs,” US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm told reporters, according to CNN. “That means they’re going to link everything from capture to processing to deep underground storage, all in one seamless process.”

The Biden administration on Friday announced its first major investment to kickstart the US carbon removal industry – something energy experts say is key to getting the country’s planet-warming emissions under control.

2 PRINCETON,MIT SCIENTISTS – EPA CLIMATE REGULATIONS BASED ON HOAX

You can either read or listen to this explosive article, just click on the link.   Please share with your contacts.  Nancy  P.S.  Towards the end of the article the two scientists tell how they were subjected to discrimination by their peers when they presented scientific evidence that Climate Change was based on a hoax.  Very enlightening !

Two Princeton, MIT Scientists Say EPA Climate Regulations Based on a ‘Hoax’

Physicist, meteorologist testify that the climate agenda is ‘disastrous’ for America

August 12, 2023
Kevin Stocklin is a business reporter, film producer and former Wall Street banker. He wrote and produced “We All Fall Down: The American Mortgage Crisis,” a 2008 documentary on the collapse of the mortgage finance system. His most recent documentary is “The Shadow State,” an investigation of the ESG industry.

Two prominent climate scientists have taken on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) new rules to cut CO2 emissions in electricity generation, arguing in testimony that the regulations “will be disastrous for the country, for no scientifically justifiable reason.”

Citing extensive data to support their case, William Happer, professor emeritus in physics at Princeton University, and Richard Lindzen, professor emeritus of atmospheric science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), argued that the claims used by the EPA to justify the new regulations are not based on scientific facts but rather political opinions and speculative models that have consistently proven to be wrong.

“The unscientific method of analysis, relying on consensus, peer review, government opinion, models that do not work, cherry-picking data and omitting voluminous contradictory data, is commonly employed in these studies and by the EPA in the Proposed Rule,” Mr. Happer and Mr. Lindzen stated. “None of the studies provides scientific knowledge, and thus none provides any scientific support for the Proposed Rule.”

“All of the models that predict catastrophic global warming fail the key test of the scientific method: they grossly overpredict the warming versus actual data,” they stated. “The scientific method proves there is no risk that fossil fuels and carbon dioxide will cause catastrophic warming and extreme weather.”

Climate models like the ones that the EPA is using have been consistently wrong for decades in predicting actual outcomes, Mr. Happer told The Epoch Times. He presented the table below to the EPA to illustrate his point.

Modeled climate predictions (average shown by red line) versus actual observations (source: J.R. Christy, Univ. of Alabama; KNMI Climate Explorer) Modeled climate predictions (average shown by red line) versus actual observations (source: J.R. Christy, Univ. of Alabama; KNMI Climate Explorer)

“That was already an embarrassment in the ‘90s, when I was director of energy research in the U.S. Department of Energy,” he said. “I was funding a lot of this work, and I knew very well then that the models were overpredicting the warming by a huge amount.”
