CONDITIONING THE MASSES TO AN EXTREME AGENDA

THE WASHINGTON TIMES
Conditioning the masses to an extreme agenda
By Monica Crowley   February 20, 2019

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Socialist revolutionaries are usually in a hurry. They ram through radical political, economic and social change, lest progressivism’s march slows or halts completely.

At the same time, history has taught them that when moving against societies with durable and cherished traditions of liberty and free-market economics, they must first acclimate those publics to statist ideas before they can actualize them as policy. The revolutionaries’ desire for speed exists in constant tension with the need for gradual conditioning of the masses.

This is precisely the blueprint for today’s American socialists, who move with both a predictable urgency and calculated methodology as they try to steer the nation away from limited government, capitalism and individual liberty and toward centralized control, command economics and collectivism.

It was former President Barack Obama — not Sen. Bernie Sanders — who turned the Democratic Party into a vehicle for neo-socialism and made unadulterated leftists like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, New York Democrat, possible. Given his unique persona, Mr. Obama was able to cleverly disguise socialism as a hip, virtuous-sounding pragmatism, based on themes of equality and social justice.

He then used his considerable rhetorical gifts to sell longstanding progressive ambitions, from massive government spending and higher taxes to suffocating regulation, socialized medicine and government-subsidized unproven green energy projects.

None of these policies delivered on their false promises, but that was beside the point. The point was to get the American public habituated to the idea of mammoth redistributist policies.

The left relentlessly labors to move the Overton window so that what was once considered unthinkable becomes idealized and preferred, as do those who promote it. They intentionally tout the extreme in order to elicit thundering condemnation so they can then look “reasonable” by “settling” for some part of their original proposal. That, in turn, establishes a precedent for pushing forward until they achieve what was previously considered the extreme.

EVERY TIME DEMOCRATS TALK, I WANT TO VOTE FOR TRUMP TWICE

Thursday, March 21st, 2019

What a fun  read –    You are going to love this !  Thanks to Steve Bishop for brightening our day   Go Trump !  Nancy

THE FEDERALIST

Every Time Democrats Talk, I Want To Vote For Trump Twice

I am a highly motivated Trump voter because the Democrats have motivated me up to my eyeballs. I have never been more motivated in my life, because the Democrats are terrifying me.

By  George S. Bardmesser   George S. Bardmesser is an attorney in private practice in the Washington, DC area

This article includes rhetorical uses of profanity.

It’s a damn shame I have to wait another 20 months to vote for President Trump. I wish I could do it now. Twice. Or better yet, in as many jurisdictions as I can. Preferably in every swing district and every swing state.

Yeah, yeah, I know — sadly, I can’t. It’s been a hell of a ride these past couple of years, and I sure hope it doesn’t end next November.

I am a middle-of-the-road Republican who voted for Trump with the utmost reluctance in 2016. He sure wasn’t perfect. He was no Cicero, either––though he can give a decent speech when the chips are down. He had a few extra skeletons rattling in his closet, especially compared to colorless non-entities like Jeb. So yeah, I was queasy about voting for an ex-registered-Democrat-from-New-York-and-possible-liberal-now-turned-Republican.

Was I worried? Hell, yeah! Was I depressed? You bet. But, really, what options were there? Hillary? Jill Stein? Seriously? Trump wasn’t my first choice or my second choice or my third choice, but by the time November 2016 rolled around, Trump was the only choice on the menu. So I swallowed hard, took a leap of faith, and pulled the lever for the Donald.

Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen Are Non-Issues For Me

And let me tell ya, every time one of these newly minted Democratic “stars” opens their mouth, the same thought goes through my mind: Thank God for Trump. Trump is my last line of defense. Trump is the only thing that stands between me and these hallucinogenic socialist nut jobs. Trump is what’s keeping chaos and left-wing insanity at bay.

Maybe I am not a gettable voter for the Democrats. Certainly not easily gettable, but had Trump turned out to be a closet Nelson Rockefeller, and the Democrats were to nominate a genuine centrist, who knows what could’ve happened? Isn’t that what politicians running for president are supposed to do––spend a few months promoting themselves as the reasonable choice, and the other guy as unacceptable?

But today, every single Democrat I can name is working overtime to make damn certain that I will pull the lever for Trump again, and with both hands this time. Trump need not worry about locking down my vote––the Democrats are doing all the heavy lifting.

Every time the Democrats and their media allies peddle yet another “end of the Trump presidency bombshell,” I laugh hysterically. If I laughed any harder, people would think I was having an epileptic seizure.

I can’t even keep track of half the revelations that were supposed to bring Trump to an ignominious end. Even the Democrats forget most of them within days. Remember Papadopoulos? Flynn? Gates? Roger Stone? Some 77-year-old guy I’ve never heard of, getting a handjob at a Florida massage parlor?

Say what? This is a Trump scandal because apparently the former massage parlor owner posed with Trump and various Republicans who know or have spoken to Trump. Who? What? Huh? Democrats don’t just own crazy anymore; Democrats left crazy in their rearview mirror months ago.

Stormy Daniels? Right. Who gives two shits about Trump’s sex life 12 years ago? But, but, “Trump paid her off! It was hush money!” you say? Yeah, okay. He probably did. Oh, hell, who are we kidding here? I am certain that he did. And I care about all this why? I can see why Melania would care, but why do care?

Heck, I’ll go even further––it wouldn’t surprise me if Trump paid off a bunch of other women over the years. In fact, and here I am really going out on a limb, there was some reason to suspect, even before the election, that Trump hasn’t always been a faithful husband to his various wives. But, dear Democrats: I just checked my Vanguard and Fidelity account balances, and I just don’t give a squat about Trump’s sex life or his ex-mistresses or how much they cost him.

No ‘Walls of Separation’ in Knoxville Office Run by AOC Chief of Staff Chakrabarti

by Michael Patrick Leahy     March 11, 2019
15:57

There were no “walls of separation” in the 3,500 square feet of office space in Knoxville, Tennessee that in 2017 and 2018 housed two political action committees (PACs), two private consulting firms, and at least 12 congressional campaigns committees, all controlled or run by Saikat Chakrabarti, who now serves as freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) chief of staff.

A source familiar with the building told Breitbart News that Brand New Campaign LLC, a private company formed in Delaware on February 13, 2017 that was apparently controlled by Chakrabarti, leased the second and third floors of the building located at 714 S. Gay Street in downtown Knoxville from the spring of 2017 until March 2018.

The second floor “is entirely open space, with no walls at all,” while the third floor is “mostly open space with a few enclosed offices,” a source in Knoxville, Tennessee, who is familiar with the space told Breitbart News.

The other entities controlled or run by Chakrabarti at the time that were housed at 714 S. Gay St. during the period of occupancy of Brand New Campaign LLC included:

Some of the congressional campaigns subsequently filed amendments to their statement of organization listing different addresses for their offices.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, however, did not file an amended statement of organization with the FEC changing the address of her campaign headquarters from 714 S. Gay Street, Knoxville, Tennessee to a location in New York until November 20, 2018, two weeks after she won the general election to represent New York’s 14th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, and more than six months after the Brand New Campaign LLC lease of the Knoxville office space ended.

All told, at least 16 different organizations, all controlled or managed by Chakrabarti and, in the case of two of those organizations–her own campaign beginning in May 2017 and Justice Democrats beginning in February 2018, by Rep. Ocasio-Cortez– listed the 714. S. Gay Street location as their headquarters during the 2017 to 2018 time frame of Brand New Campaign LLC’s occupancy of the office space there.

HOW THE LEFT ACCOMPLISHES RADICAL CHANGE

Monday, March 4th, 2019

To understand what is behind the Democrat’s lurch to the Far Left, you have to think like a Marxist !  Read on !!!  Thanks to Dee Sams for sharing  Nancy

How The Left Tricks People Into Thinking Socialism Is Plausible

If you want to effect radical change that politicians will vote for, don’t try to convince the politicians directly, but shift what is considered socially acceptable by legitimizing insane ideas.

By William F. Marshall

What on earth has happened to the Democratic Party? Even by liberal standards, the policies the left now advocates appear insane. To say they are an order of fries short of a Happy Meal is an insult to McDonald’s.

I’m used to childishness from the Democratic Party, but something is very wrong in the Land of Unicorns and Fairy Dust. Is all of this just the usual hyper-liberal reaction to a Republican presidency, or is there something more insidious and dangerous at work? The latter may be the case, in the form of something called the Overton Window Principle. Let’s recap the last several weeks in Lala-Land.

Consider the “Green New Deal” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez supports. Her resolution before Congress calls for America to entirely divest itself of fossil fuels within ten years. This is such a ludicrous proposal that anyone with a scintilla of common sense or over the age of 25 should burst out laughing when informed of it.

A Frequently Asked Questions page that appeared on Ocasio-Cortez’s website before it was taken down actually said: “We set a goal to get to that net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast…” That is a real quote from an actual document posted to a bona fide congresswoman’s real-life website.

Yes, it’s uproariously stupid, funny, and deserving of ridicule by Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Chris Plante, and all the other entertaining commentators on conservative talk radio. Ocasio-Cortez is an endless source of fun, and I hope there’s a microphone nearby every time she opens her mouth. May she be the one Democrat who has a long and voluble career in Washington.

But here’s the concerning part: as of a week ago, 67 adult members of Congress signed on to support Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal. Moreover, her ridiculous plan has been mirrored by a Senate resolution sponsored by a wizened, crusty old Democrat machine politician, Sen. Edward Markey, who has decades of legislative experience and surely knows how absurd the Green New Deal’s provisions are.

The Method Behind the Madness

So what gives? Has Markey lost his marbles? Not only that, have all the other Democrat luminaries running for president who have endorsed the GND—like Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Amy Klobuchar—lost their minds as well?

It’s within the realm of possibility that Donald Trump has finally succeeded in snapping the tenuous hold these leftist politicians have on reality. But it might be explained by the Overton Window theory.

THE GREEN NEW DEAL’S IMPOSSIBLE ELECTRIC GRID

The Green New Deal’s Impossible Electric Grid

Renewable energy can’t consistently balance power supply with demand.

The Democrats’ Green New Deal calls for a fully renewable electric power grid. Regardless of the economic or political challenges of bringing this about, it is likely technologically impossible.

An electric power grid involves second-by-second balancing between generated supply and consumer demand. In the case of a sudden imbalance—such as from the loss of a generator’s output—all the remaining generators on the grid instantaneously pool together. Each one pitches in a small part of the required power to make up for the lost generator fast enough to keep supply and demand balanced.

This doesn’t work for wind and solar because you can’t spontaneously increase wind or sunshine. Hydro power is limited and unevenly distributed around the country. And for safety reasons, nuclear power—even if the Green New Dealers accepted it—can’t be cranked up to neutralize imbalances. Nor can consumer demand be suddenly reduced enough.

Fossil-fuel turbines, by contrast, very naturally compensate for sudden supply outages. The inertia of the spinning mass of rotors provides the extra energy needed to compensate for the loss for the first few seconds. (Wind-rotor inertia is too short-lived.) Meanwhile the generators’ on-line reserve capacity kicks in, giving a rapid boost in power output to prevent the turbines from slowing down. That substitute power, called “governor response,” lasts as long as 15 minutes. During that time a single replacement generator ramps up to compensate entirely for the loss. All the turbines on the grid are thereby restored to their original speed, and the governor response is rearmed for the next disturbance.

An all-renewables grid would require prohibitively expensive battery storage to compensate for sudden power losses. Even with batteries, the lost power would have to be fed through “inverters”—a technology that converts variable-wind-speed alternating current, solar-power direct current, and battery-power direct-current into alternating current—to allow for synthetic inertia and governor response in the case of a disruption.

VOTE ON THE GREEN NEW DEAL

Wednesday, February 13th, 2019

THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

Vote on the Green New Deal

Every Member of Congress should step up and be counted.

Editorial Board     February 12, 2019

Democrats rolled out their Green New Deal last week, and by all means let’s have a national debate and then a vote in Congress—as soon as possible. Here in one package is what the political left really means when it says Americans need to do something urgently about climate change, so let’s see who has the courage of those convictions.

Thanks to the resolution introduced last week by New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, there’s already official language. While it’s nonbinding, the 14 pages give a clear sense of direction and magnitude in calling for a “10-year national mobilization” to exorcise carbon from the U.S. economy.

President Obama’s Clean Power Plan looks modest by comparison. The 10-year Green New Deal calls for generating 100% of power from renewables and removing greenhouse gas emissions from manufacturing and transportation—to the extent these goals are “technologically feasible.” Hint: They’re not.

The plan also calls for “upgrading all existing buildings in the United States and building new buildings to achieve maximal energy efficiency, water efficiency, safety, affordability, comfort and durability, including through electrification.” That’s all existing buildings, comrade.

Millions of jobs would have to be destroyed en route to this brave new green world, but not to worry. The resolution says the government would also guarantee “a job with a family-sustaining wage, adequate family and medical leave, paid vacations, and retirement security to all people of the United States.” Good that they’re starting small.

Sorry to mention unhappy reality, but renewable sources currently make up only 17% of U.S. electric-power generation despite enormous federal and state subsidies. Wind and solar energy have become more competitive over the last decade as costs have plunged. But without subsidies, solar costs remain about 20% higher than natural gas while offshore wind is two-thirds more expensive. The bigger problem is solar and wind don’t provide reliable power, so backup plants that burn fossil fuels are required to run on stand-by.

JUST HOW MANY MUSLIMS WON POLITICAL OFFICE IN 2018 ? THE NUMBERS MAY SURPRISE YOU !

Monday, January 21st, 2019

AND, they are all Democrats !   Nancy

Just How Many Muslims Won Political Office In 2018? The Numbers May Surprise You!

Many of you are familiar with a couple of congressional seats that were picked up by Muslim women and the first Muslim state attorney general put into office in Minnesota.  What you may not realize is just how many political offices were filled by electing Muslims in 2018.  Even more concerning is the high percentage of Muslims voting and their openness to promote the fact that they want to “change” our culture and society.

First, the information comes from JETPAC, which stands for Justice Education Technology Political Advocacy Center.  According to their Mission Statement:

Jetpac (Justice Education Technology Political Advocacy Center) seeks to build a strong American Muslim political infrastructure and increase our community’s influence and engagement.

We will take our place at the table across all levels of government.

Our philosophy of change is rooted in a community-based approach, grassroots mobilization, civicstraining, and technology application. We have developed our own training curriculum, as well as proprietary social media technology and automation tools, to give our Fellows the skills and resources they need to win elections. (emphasis mine)

One wonders if some of those tools involve voter fraud, especially after what we witnessed in Minnesota.

Let’s break down the Muslim wins from federal to the local level, and then we’ll sort them by states.
